Alternate Universe!

Hi Christie!

It is somewhat a parody on Beauty and the Beast and from a few Fractured Fairy Tales and the rest of it is just my doing. I am not very good at being serious so I make a fairy tale, so I apologize -_- And I apologize to Christie for not being able to come up with a better storyline... please don't kill me.

Once upon a time in a beautiful palace, there lived a beautiful prince named Hotohori who spent all of his free time admiring himself. No, really, everywhere where Hotohori went, Hotohori went, Hotohori went, everywhere where Hotohori went a mirror was sure to follow! What? You don't believe me? Fine, let us go to the well-groomed pond and take a look!

"I am so beautiful..." A male around his late teens sat on a stone overlooking the water. He was hunched over with his robes carefully shifted to highlight his beauty. The young prince brushed his hair this way and that, turned left to right to admire the angles over and over again. Needless to say, it was the royal heir's most significant fascination.

But that's not to say that Hotohori wasn't a kind person! No no, I'm saying that... um... well Hotohori never did have many friends. Okay, so maybe he didn't have any at all. So how do we know if he is kind? Well, he is very polite and stuff... um...
Well, I was not the only one to question the young princes' personality towards others. From far away, an old woman (Taiitsukun!!) watched him intently. She was no ordinary old woman, for she was an oracle with great power! (Lightning bolts in the background)

So while the sun had reached its highest during the afternoon, Hotohori could not look at himself in the water without getting a blinding light sear through his eyes. And what horror, if the prince should have bad eyes so that he would not see himself in perfect, 20-20 vision. He rested in the shade, his hand mirror convienently with him. The young man did not take notice of the old lady when she trudged up to his feet.

"Hotohori!" She bellowed in that low, commanding voice. But alas, there was no acknowledgment... only a deep sigh and a self-compliment that was an answer.

"I'm so beautiful..."

"HOTOHORI!" She tried again. No answer.

"I like this angle, iya, all angles are beautiful..."

Quite irritated after dealing with Nyan-Nyans all day long, she was a woman and Hotohori heard her roar! "Hotohori! For your ignorance, I shall turn you into a-"

"Aaaahhhh! I have never... I have never... seen something more hideous in my life! Oh my poor eyes!" The vain young prince turned away in horror only to displease the old woman even more.

"That does it! I turn you into a Suzaku Shichi Seishi!! So that you are banished to only think of the needs of your companions and your Miko instead of yourself!" The old woman surrounded the young prince in red light, then stomped off into the clouds, angrily muttering about how today's youth act nowdays.

"Whew, she is gone!" Hotohori sighed in relief but just as he was about to take another look in the mirror...

"Your highness, the Suzaku no Miko has arrived!"

"Will, I forever be banished to ignore my own beauty for the needs of others?" He touched his smooth cheek in dispair. "I will never let my beauty fade! If I must give up this sacred duty of protecting the Miko, I will!"

Yes, well little did Hotohori know that there WAS a way to compromise both instead of attempting extremes...
And little did Taiitsukun know that she was ultimately leading this vain young man into happiness. Well, I guess she did being an all-mighty oracle and stuff.

I can't believe I wrote this.
