"Heero.. don't leave me! You can't leave me alone!!!" I screamed and
cried in pain and agony at the cold bloody body that I held tightly and
protectively within my arms. "Heero... please... don't go.. stay with me..
Heero..." I pleaded again and again. Heero looked into my eyes, and I could
see that he was suffering and was in terrible pain.
"Duo...pl..please...end... my... pain..." he gasped as another wave of pain struck him. I clutched tighly but gently onto Heero, and fresh tears began to make their way down my cheeks when I heard what he said to me. 'No... I must not cry. I have to be strong for Heero.. I have to..' that was all in my mind as I tried everything I could to keep his life from fading away. But both he and I knew that there was nothing I can do to help him. Nothing at all.
"Heero... stay with me.. don't leave me behind.."I whimpered and felt a sharp pain in my chest when I heard Heero groan in pain. "Duo.." he tried to say something but he was too weak to do so. "Heero.." I felt his hands clasped tighly against mine, but then... he let go. 'No.. No... This can't be happening..' Shaking his shoulders gently, I tried to wake Heero up from his deep slumber, but no to avail.
"No.. Heero... I haven't even tell you how I feel... How can you just leave me like this.. HEEROOoooo!!!!" @~
"HEEEROOOO!!!"
Duo's eyes immediately flew opened, and he realised he had cried in his sleep and was fully drenched in his own sweat, and was on his own bed instead of a battlefield. 'It was just a nightmare...' he thought, trying to calm his racing heart and erase the pain he felt earlier, but the images of a dying Heero were so vivid and they kept on replaying in his mind that Duo felt the need to see Heero, just to make sure that everything was alright, that Heero was safe.
Standing in front of Heero's room, Duo opened the door slowly, hoping that the door wouldn't make a sound. Blinking his eyes, Duo peeked into the darkness of Heero's room through the opened door and was relieved to see a moving lump on the bed. Knowing that Heero was safe in his own bed, Duo turned around and planned to return to his own room, but for some unknown reason his feet were glued to the spot. '..Heh... I know that you are not satisfied at just looking at a lump on the bed, right?' sneered the little voice in his mind. 'OK.. ok.. I'm not satisfied... sheesh..' Duo replied angrily in his mind, but a smile was forming.
Silently, Duo creeped towards the sleeping stonic soldier, and knelt down beside the bed. Looking at his handsome face, Duo felt a sharp pain in his chest again. 'Heero... if you only knew...' Duo could feel the warmth coming from Heero, thus he began to lean closer to the side of the bed, trying to comfort himself by being closer to Heero. Being close to Heero, Duo felt as if he was loved by the perfect soldier, something that he knew that would never ever happen between them. So he sat there, all the time looking at Heero, but was gone from the room when dawn came.
