Crash! Bang! @#$@%^!!!!!
Maki closed his eyes and tried to ignore the noise his new neighbors were making. It was annoying him up to the point of complaining to the apartment manager. Unfortunately, the manager could not do anything about it since the noise-makers were his own relatives. None of the other tenants were bothered since they were quite old and suffered from hearing defects. "Lucky them." Maki muttered, covering his ears with his pillows. He really needed to move out soon.
It was to be expected that the basketball captain did not get very much sleep and was therefore, in a very grumpy mood the next morning. The teachers had noticed this and did not dare call upon him during recitation. However, most of his tension disappeared when basketball practice began. The players all knew he was strict and gave harsh training so they were quite used to Maki's behavior and did not feel like anything was the matter. However, there were a few people who figured their sempai did not have a very good sleep. For one, Maki was barely awake when the usual practice game was ensued. The tanned player was sitting on a bench, eyes closed.
"I wonder what's the matter with Maki-sempai?" Kiyota wondered aloud. Miyamasu grinned and urged his friend to go over and ask the man himself. He knew that Kiyota had a crush on their captain for the longest time. Jin was also in on this little secret. Everyone thought that he simply idolized the man. A lot of people did admire Maki Shinichi, except that Kiyota was a bit more vocal about it than any others.
Kiyota felt himself turn pink as he shook his head. "No way, he might get mad at me or something for disturbing his sleep. " Then he added, "Hey you two, are you sure you don't know anybody who might be willing to share my apartment? Come on, there must be somebody!" Kiyota was seriously worried about his large apartment space. He used to share it with his cousin and they had split the rent, but Ichiro left Tokyo a few days earlier. "I don't wanna lose that apartment." Kiyota whined. It was a pretty good place to call home, in Kiyota's point of view. He had stayed there for quite some time now and it had taken him a long time to find it. Miyamasu sighed. He knew that Kiyota loved the apartment almost as much as he loved playing basketball. He had been in that apartment plenty of times and noticed how neat and orderly it was.
"Well, I guess we'll try harder to find somebody." Miyamasu remarked as he wondered who in Kainan would agree to room with Kiyota. Everyone thought that Kiyota was too loud and having him for a roomie was like having a radio on full blast in your house. People also thought that living with Kiyota would be hard since they might get into a lot of arguments. All these assumptions were not true, of course. Miyamasu and Jin would have loved Kiyota's company except that they were already settled comfortably into their own homes.
Just then, a hand laid itself on Kiyota's shoulder. "Don't you think we should get practicing, boys?" Takato-sensei asked, raising his eyebrow at the three students. The three players smiled sheepishly before returning to practice. The Kainan coach had heard everything they talked about and rubbed his chin. It looked like the exact solution he needed.
