Chapter 1: Sorry is the Hardest word… For the recepient

A fog covered the forest outside Hogwarts, where two figures were standing. One was crying. The other was standing, his arms at his side. From afar, he looked exactly like Harry Potter.

'No, Harry, don't leave me!' Ginny sobbed, tears streaming down her cheeks. 'Think of the life we could share together!'

'I'm sorry, Ginny.' Harry said, his face impassive. 'It's for your own good, you know. I don't know when I'll be back. It's better this way.'

'No, It's not better!' Ginny screamed at him. 'Don't you know how much I love you? How could you bear to do this to me?'

No answer.

'Harry! Don't do this to me!'

She raised her eyes, just in time to see Harry disappear into the fog. White clouds of mist swirled around him as he walked into the fog. Ginny ran after him frantically, trying to catch up with him. Her foot caught a tree root. She fell, still sobbing onto the ground with a bump.

She opened her eyes. She was lying face down on her bed at Hogwarts. Ever since Harry had broken up with her, she had been dealing with the loss one day at a time. Now she felt almost nothing for him when she thought of him.

Except for the nights.

The nights were the worst. She dreamed of him almost every night. Her Harry, how it had been like in the past. Her knight in shining armour. How they had shared an ice-cream after class every day… Eaten breakfast together… Even the small things like the chocolate under her pillow…

Really, apart from the nights, it was alright.

Well, she'd show him that she didn't need him. Ginny dried her tears and tried to look like nothing had happened. She didn't succeed very well. No. You have to pull yourself together! Life goes on!' She told herself with conviction.  No more Harry. Find someone else.

The images of the good old times returned to haunt her. This is going to take a bit of practice, she thought as she held back tears.

She looked at the wall, anything to hold the tears back. The richly decorated tapestry on the wall, telling the story of two lovers, the love between them broken and torn…

The picture frame Harry had given her for her birthday…

The picture of Harry smiling at her form its place of honour in the frame.

She took the photo frame and smashed it on the floor.

Her brother hadn't made things any better, going off with that pretty girl who had just transferred in. Hermione had her Victor Krum, she sent love letters every day. Ron and the transfer student held hands in the corridor, kissed each other…

She rushed into the bathroom to cry. The combination of factors was just too much. The bathroom door opened.  She went in and had a long soak.

Unseen, the frame and its photo merged themselves back into one complete thing.

A sudden scream came from the bathroom.

A/N Why and how did the photo frame reassemble itself? Who screamed? Why? A charmed photo? Find out in the next chapter! So!        How was it? Please review! I need your help! Just write your thoughts!
