Labyrinth of Leviticus
Trapped in strange cages
Spirits of ages
Chant a requiem
Grim dirges to hum
Shallow are the graves
Demons peer out of
Stark shadowy knaves
Knives stashed in their gloves
Belligerent beasts
Souls most forgotten
Downing defeated feasts
Essences of men
Reaching for a child
Offering him doom
His nature defiled
Maroon is the moon
Black fire boundaries
Violate…surround…
Fallacious fairies
Hold him spellbound
Enter enchanted
Sentry of sanctuary
Creepy crows ranted
"Darkness he should marry…"
A crystal canvas
Portrait of secrets
Where he cannot last
Without his god Set
Shining abyss greets
Corrupt innocence
Salacious and sweet
Malignant magnificence
Sacrificial saint
Sadistic, savage
Living with a taint
Collateral damage
Labyrinth of Leviticus
God's first chosen lamb
Wings of pure white rust
Not giving a damn
Mystical mind maze
Crime and punishment
Blood sinister rage
Hell's angels are sent
Their seductive sins
Committed from love
Sets cheerful coffins
Below and above
Ferocious phantoms
From polar domains
Douses one in rum
Ablaze are remains
Slaying the dragon
An angel's heart dies
Under a red sun
His counterpart cries
Wounded by judgment
Passed over both hearts
Scattered through time went
Lovers drift apart
Whispering a phrase
While being destroyed
The Lamb of God says,
"Don't fall for this ploy
Live on and never stop
Loving me always
Let that last tear drop
End this whole craze
Faithfully, I'm yours
No matter what the price
Leaving heaven's doors
Has put me on ice
Think nothing of it
I know that I don't
Rock-bottom I've hit
Don't give in…I won't
My lover, my best friend
Taking this attack
I'll make my amends
Just wait, I'll be back
Wings of black metal
I leave in your grasp
From onyx clouds fell
Final statements rasped
Predictions prevailed
Revenge…redemption…
Carried by strong gales
Angel's ascension
Before my demise
This statement oasis
Gives words to the wise:
" 'And the lamb shall carry on itself all their sins to a solitary place…' "
~Leviticus 16:22
Author's note: It's a haunting piece to read, right? Then again, Ryou and his yami are as equally spooky as the poem you've just completed. Romantic, of course, but also twisted. Their unique relationship seems to be the focus of many yaoi lovers' fascination, since they both are polar opposites of each other and show affection on so many different levels for one another. So, one is an archangel of light, the other an obvious child of darkness. Nevertheless, they cast aside their status as ethereal beings to achieve their own individual happiness together.
