Misadventures - Matt Gressett

In the land where the grass is always green, Under a hill lived a Hobbit named Baggins, Who never did anything obscene. But then one day came twelve Dwarves and a Wizard on wagons.

They ate his food and broke his plates. They sang songs and such, About what he hates. He was a little irritated, but it didn't show much.

He had to sign a contract saying he'd be their thief. He was to help them retrieve their long lost gold. Oh, this gave him grief. He would get a good fortune, so they told.

He agreed, Not knowing what to do. He should have taken heed. If only he had known what he would have to go through.

They set off the next day. Over the course of their trip, They had many misadventures along the way. While running from goblins, through a hole, poor Baggins would slip.

He would meet Golumn, an ugly thing. He would find a magical artifact. An invisibility ring. He would use it to escape and never look back.

They would reunite, Encounter goblins and trolls At night, As they wandered through the hills that roll.

Over a long, long time, They would make it to the Dwarves horde. Up the mountain they would climb. And Baggins with a brand new sword.

The rest is for another day. So listen to me and you shall hear, Of the way, Baggins saved the gold with his strange gear.
