Title: There are never happy endings in real life
Author: Tasha Miller
Disclaimer: Not mine, I'm just borrowing them
Rating: maybe pg-13 or PG I'm never really sure
Notes: This line popped into my head, I thought I'd make a good story, so I decided to write it about Ginny, threw in a few personal experiences and you get this angsty little fic.
Ginny sighed and started at the roof of her room in the burrow.
"It's never like the movies" she said
"What?" Hermione asked, glancing over at Ginny
"It's never like the movies" Ginny said a little louder, leaning on her side to look at the other girl
"What?" Hermione asked watching the redhead curiously
"Life" Ginny stated as if it was a simple fact, like 1+1=2
"Depends on the movie, some movies show you reality"
"But the most popular ones don't"
"Yea, but who wants to be reminded how much life sucks"
"I just wish one day, when I love someone, it'll be like the movies"
"Maybe it will" Hermione said with a smile
Ginny sighed, "I doubt it"
"Isn't it the point, movies are so predictable, I'd rather live in a world were not everything is perfect"
"I spose" Ginny watched Hermione for a moment "I just wish that I could find love like in the movies"
Ginny stared at the ceiling of her room in the burrow
"It's never like the movies" she whispered to herself. She looked at the small pocketknife in her hands, a muggle thing, from Harry a few Christmases ago. "Never like the movies" she dragged the blade across her skin, crimson trails springing up behind it. "No happy endings in real life" she pushed harder, blood trickling from her wrists. "She never meant a word she said" Ginny sobbed "She lied" she wiped away her tears, smearing blood on her face "I'm not pretty, I'm not smart or funny, she never liked me, she was never even really my friend" She ran the blade across her other wrist and lay down "If she meant any of it, she never would have left me, so suddenly, no words, expecting it to be the same" She sobbed, tears and blood flowing from her as she lay on her bloodstained sheets "There are never happy endings in real life" She whispered as she closed her eyes and let the darkness wash over her.
