He Proposed

All Utena disclaimers apply. Also, I don't own the song "He Proposed".

It was White Day (March 15)
My prince took me to a special place
Said he had a surprise for me
Touga told me to close my eyes
So that I could not see
And when I opened them up
He was on one knee reaching for my hand.
(That's when)
He proposed to me
He proposed with a diamond ring
I started crying
He placed it on my finger and I said yes.
My prince proposed to me
He proposed with a diamond ring
I couldn't believe it I looked in his eyes and I said yes.
I'll never forget that night
It was 8:43pm to be precise
Touga looked in my eyes and said
"You've made me the happiest man alive."
Soon as I got home, I called my aunt on the phone
I said Aunt Yurika you won't believe what just happened to me.
He proposed to me
He proposed with a diamond ring
I couldn't believe it
I looked in his eyes and I said yes.
We will always be together
This I know
Touga, our love will last forever
My heart told me so
Promise you'll hold me tight and never let me go
We'll be husband and wife
For the rest of our lives.

This my third Utena/Touga fic and my second songfic. This will probably be the only songfic that I'll do with them. As you may have already known, I portray Utena and Touga as adults in all my fics. That's because I'm one myself and it would be too difficult for me to write them as a teenage couple and also because there is no one out there that I know of that has done it.
The second I heard the song "He Proposed" this fic came to mind. It didn't take me long to write it. I did of course adjust the lyrics of the song to fit the fic and the series.
For all those who don't know about White Day. It is on March 15 about a month after Valentine's Day. In Japan, Valentine's day is when a woman gives the man she loves or cares about chocolate. On White Day, the guy gives the woman he loves a gift. The more ornate the gift the more love he has for the woman. I hope I got that right.
