Ch 1
I was waiting. my father would be up any moment.the only thing i could do was wait for him to tell me my chores and the exact way to do every one of them. 3, 2, 1...
"Iyane! what are you doing there? Resting? You better give me a reason why you deserve a break without doing any work yet! I should give you double chores, but that would mean less for tomorow!"
I glared at him.
"How am i supposed to do chores when you haven't given me any? You consider me taking a break if you see me not doing chores. It is unfair that you punish me for doing the only thing i can do. But still. Fogive me for upseting you father"
"Oh all right, but next morning you had better be doing something worth while!"then he began to mutter."Bloody elves think they are all so perfect"
"Your mother was an elf"
"Do i care?"
"your insulting your own kind"
"Listen to me! DO I CARE?"
He handed me a list of chores. 25. I was lucky. I wandered off to complete the first one as father went the other way.
"Young elf! Help!"
I spun around to see a small blue faerie with her wing cought in a tree.
"Please realease me! It is a faerie trap! a small orb attracted me. a wing orb! One that heals your wings! I flew to it for my wings were hurting! Then the branch caught me!"
"No worries! I- Ill help you"
"hurry please"
i ran to the faerie and carefully pulled her out.
"follow me! Its cold out here" she said trying to fly
i quickly stopped her! "you could hurt yourself!"
"Are you able to change still?"she asked despretly.
"havent tried!"
"Never?"
"never!"
the faerie then created a tiny orb.
"Catch!" she said throwing it at me.
I caught it! My eyes then began to slide out of focus. Then, i fainted!
***
"Iyane!Iyane of the wood! wake up!"
i opened my eyes realising i wasn't an elf anymore. I found myself in a small, hollow, warm tree. I was a faerie. In a faerie den. a home.
"Welcome!" she said quivering on the spot.
"have you never had a guest before? you dont seem very aquainted to having me here. is there a problem?"
"oh no, its just that... just that..." she said accidentally spilling the tea she was pouring.
"here. Let me." I said walking to where she was. I poured the tea and let her sit down.
"How long have you been here?"I asked.
"13 years."
"my father tells me of somthing i have not seen. a fence! trapping me here. Is this what stops you from leaving?"
"It is tall, and my poor wings cant fly it. No more can I cure myself of this. you must go tomorrow!"
"How can I heal you? Tell me!"
"By escaping you will do the best. Saving me will lessen your chance! You deserve to leave and live in peace among all the elves and faeries."
"I cant leave you! At least let me carry you!"
"That is an idea, but first you must learn your wings. follow me."
"I know how to fly" I said taking flight.
I then grabbed her and flew. The gate. it was a crack open and I let her through. my father was coming.I flew through. We had escapped!
