AN: Hi guys! Since some people (if you count two as some) asked me to translate my German fanfiction into English:

It's kind of a shortstory about Harry's thoughts after the fourth year and was written in a depressive mood so don't wonder. I still hope some people will like it, but I doubt that.

Have you ever been there, when a human died?
No? Then you can't know how I'm feeling right now.
Because I was there. There, when a human died.
A human – a schoolfellow – a friend.
And all this only, because he was at the wrong time at the wrong place.
I am the one who should have died instead of him.
I am the one Voldemort wants.
Kill the spare.
It's entirely my fault.
If only I had accepted his offer and taken the cup alone,
Then everything could've been different.
Maybe then I would've died,
But that would still be better than the dead of an innocent.
Kill the spare.
If only I had reacted more quickly, then he could be still alive . . .
Could, I hate this word.
Well, afterwards you're always wiser.
Kill the spare.
No, Cedric wasn't the spare, but me.
If it weren't for me, many people would be still alive.
Would, again a word which offers many possibilities
And still it's only an excuse.
Could, would, all these words can't bring Cedric back now.
Nothing can bring him back . . .
But maybe he'll rest in peace when his murder is revenged.
Kill the spare.
Maybe . . . but isn't revenge as bad as murder?
If everybody would take revenge for things that have been done to them,
Where would we be by now?
If . . . again a word people use to dwell in the past.
A past that can't be changed no matter what
And it has taken me an innocent life to realise this.
Kill the spare.
But maybe some day, people will forgive me.
Forgive me the fact, that I'm responsible for Cedric's death.
The death of an innocent.
Maybe . . . again a word that offers many possibilities,
But to decide on one – the right one - is very important.
I have definitively chosen the wrong,
Because if I had reacted in an other way Cedric could be still alive. . .
