"Hey Yug! How's it going?"
It was another bright, sunny day in Domino High. This type of day usually meant that there was good things to come today, but today....
Today was different.
Seto Kaiba, whose life has been turned upside down by Dark Yugi, has returned from his imprisonment in the world of Magic and Wizards. He has spent his time there barely surviving, and learned to adapt in the harsh environment of the new world. The journey to survive made him only worse, for he now blames Yugi for everything that has happened to him, and he wants revenge. When he returned, he was now essentially a monster, destroying other people's lives and hopes so that he could watch them writhe in agony. He had no soul, no conscience. All he had..... was himself.
His brother Mokuba picked up his trait of arrogance even before that fateful Shadow Game. However, upon his return, he noticed a difference in his brother's personality. Back then, he would boast about his company, his money, his power, and most importantly, his cards. And those claims had a solid foundation, which only made his ego grow larger. Now, he ignored everything, tortured families and other people for his amusement, and would never trust anyone else, not even Mokuba, his own blood. Mokuba, who allowed Seto to stand the days when Garbanzo Kaiba was still alive, when he used to torture them and use them to his own greedy needs. But today, he was turning more and more into the person that he hated with all of his soul, and less and less of what was truly him.
Before he went back to meet up with his enemy, he first visited the land of Egypt, in hopes of knowing the power of Yugi's sacred charm. He knew that it was the power of that puzzle, the spirit within, that held the key to his revenge. In his search for that key, he had met up with a man with a turban and a strange golden charm around his neck, much like Yugi's, except that his was a shape of an Ankh. That man was a mystery to Kaiba, talking to him in riddles, and asking questions instead of answering them, which confused Kaiba even more. However, he was of some use to Seto. He gave him a special gift, and as soon as he accepted the gift, the man disappeared without a trace. The next few days Kaiba had toyed around with his prize and found out its special powers, powers that would crush Yugi!
As Kaiba returned back to his schoolroom that he had not been in for a long time, he looked around and saw the bane of his existence for the first time since he was back. And he sneered at him, knowing what was in store for him, and he would enjoy his revenge. Using the already running tournament as a part of his grand scheme, Kaiba would invite Yugi into a trap. Unbeknownst to him, another person was also waiting for revenge, and he was using Kaiba's hatred for his plans....
