Tears of Fire

I left you bleeding, tortured, weak

You tried your best, but blood still leaked

And as I drove you from your peak

I glimpsed your tears of fire

I found you tormented, grieving, maimed

Dark bloody scarlet, your spirit stained

I gave you comfort, eased the pain

And kissed your tears of fire

I heard you whimper, whisper, sigh

Great wings now clipped, aching for sky

I felt your uncertainty, but couldn't say why

I feared you tears of fire

It was I who cried the molten rain

I who know death, hear it whisper my name

And I screamed, and I wept, and it drove me insane

And I burned in tears of fire.

Author's Note – This could be a regular – albeit morbid – poem on it's own. However, I wrote it with Star Wars in mind. It's easiest to understand when you look at it like: stanza 1 = Shmi, 2 = Padmé, 3 = Obi-Wan, 4 = Anakin. That being said, I don't own the characters, I just like to borrow them.
