Final Goodbye

Characters ain't mine Plot ain't mine Poem mine Satine's perspective

Dearest Christian I'm sorry, love I kept this from you Till the end You didn't deserve To be left alone Your tears hit my face as I lie here "I'm cold. I'm cold." Remember when we first met I got you confused With the man who is also known as The Duke You came up with the great idea for the play Spectacular Spectacular we sang that day I wanted to leave my life and fly But this isn't the way that I wanted to die "If I should die this very moment I wouldn't fear I'd never known completeness." I pushed you away So far beyond reach I tried to save you But you fought for me I cried on the stage As you walked down the aisle I knew something then I hadn't known for a while You loved me For me And that was a wonderful feeling That it wasn't just that my body was appealing I sang our song With tears in my eyes I didn't care about the Duke I realized that I was really loved And then it all passed in an instant The effects of consumption finally hit So, dear, as you hold me And sit there and cry I lay in your arms The arms that love me And die The show ended our way Just remember that no matter what they say Come what may I will love you until my dying day One final thought before I fly I say it again I will love you until the end of time All my dreaming ends today As I let go of life and I fly away
