LIKE BUT NOT A LIKE
After a week of being on the other side of the well, Kagome was welcoming the sight of the wooden roof over the well one her side of the world. Climbing the little ladder that she set inside the well, she climb out of the well.
" AH," Kagome said out loud as soon as she climbed out of the ancient well, "home at last!! Thank you Lord!!"
" Kagome, is that you?"
"Yes, mom."
"Oh, good. I am glad that you are home. I will run you a bath and then I have something VERY IMPORTANT to tell you. Alright?"
" Yes, mom. A bath would be heaven right about now."
"You," laughed her mother, " always say that. It makes me wonder how women could survive back then without a hot bath."
Laughing at her mother's point, Kagome threw her backpack over her shoulder and open the door of the well house. What she saw next, took her by surprise.
There were boxes upon boxes. Each stacked nicely and orderly against the side of the house. There were so many boxes that Kagome last count after 25. But what truly took Kagome by surprise was the sight of a young girl with raven color hair like her own but only pulled back into a high pony tail, dressed in a pair of blue jeans and white t-shirt sitting next to a older woman. The older woman was dress in a Miko's clothes, with her now raven hair with parts of gray pulled into a high bun.
" Aunt Cleo!! Kit!!!" screamed Kagome as she dropped her backpack and ran to greet the young girl and the older woman. The older woman opened her arms as Kagome run into them. Giving the older woman a big giant bear hug, Kagome, gave a giant huge smile to the young girl standing next to them.
" What?" said the young girl," I don't get a hug, Kag?"
"Sure you do, Kit!!" cried Kagome as left the older woman arms and embrace Kit. " It has been sooooo, long since I has saw you, Aunt Cleo, Kit."
" Yes, Kagome, it has been a long time." Said Kagome's mother as she came out the door to hugging group. " You and Kit were just 7, when you last saw them. But now you will be seeing them more."
"What do you mean Mother?" Kagome asked as she slipped out of Kit's embrace.
" Your Aunt Cleo and Cousin Kit will be staying with us for now on."
"WHAT!!!!????" cried Kagome.
Well sorry for the cliffhanger, but I thought it would be a good place to stop there. I know, Kat, you complain to other writers about 'evil little cliffhanger thingies' and yet you leave yours with one. I know that is cruel and evil punishment, but I promise to update soon.
