A deep blue sea lies before me,
The tiny waves scale the beach.
Water, flowing between the smooth rocks,
Glistening like pearls in the sun.
A gull picks at the mutilated carcass,
Discarded on the beach.
Washed up on the shore,
His thoughts, long forgotten.
A boat crashes through the almost still water,
They cry out when they see a figure on the distant shore.
As they near,
The joyous looks fade from their faces.
An unknown friend,
Lost in the mind of the sea.
His body was cast in,
He would have screamed,
If he had a voice,
But it was silenced long before.
They look upon his body,
Brown hair, tangled.
Once so long, so beautiful,
But now.most ripped from his scalp.
His clothes are worn and tattered,
Beaten by the angry sea.
His face remains calm and peaceful,
Fallen into an eternal rest.
The water flows between the smooth rocks,
That are now stained red.
The tiny waves scale the beach.
