All I Could Do Was Cry

Virginia was trying to dismiss the tiny little butterflies in her stomach. She had never felt happier, more beautiful or more complete in her entire life! She was finally getting married to the man of her dreams….Harry. Ha-ha, sooo ironic. What is ironic, is that the one and only Draco Malfoy was invited to the wedding. She and Malfoy had become quite close over the years, and her brothers and Harry regarded him with stiff politeness. He was a fine gentleman, tall and handsome, and quite wealthy. Ginny smoothed out the last few creases in her princess-like gown before preparing for her walk down the aisle. 'Here goes everything' she thought to herself.

Harry Potter fiddled with his tie nervously. He looked down at his very handsome, very EXPENSIVE black, silk tuxedo. His emerald eyes were gleaming with happiness while his forehead was gleaming with sweat from his nervousness. He looked around the room for a clear look at the guests; Lavender, Parvati, all the Weasleys beaming with absolute joy, especially Ron, his best man, Sirius, smiling like he was the one getting married. His eyes lingered to the back of the chapel, where they fell on Draco Malfoy. He caught his stare and threw him his best smirk, but Harry did not fail to notice how white and shaken he looked. Since Harry knew he had a while until Ginny came out, he pondered this. At this time Draco was wringing his hands, which were trembling heavily, and for once he showed some kind of emotion, Harry wasn't quite sure, but it was like he felt torn between staying or running away like there was no tomorrow. Harry was becoming a bit frustrated with the topic of Malfoy when the choir began to sing.
The organ chimed as Ginny walked…no…glided down the aisle. As Harry turned to look at her he saw the love-stricken face of Malfoy gaping at her. He understood now, Malfoy loved her. He could feel his insides burn in an unquenchable anger, but it was replaced with pity when he saw Draco look away from Ginny, hurt and regret obvious on his face. Harry was happy once again as he beamed at Ginny, who smiled shyly back as she continued her way down. 'Well here goes nothing' he thought to himself.

'Get a bloody hold of yourself Malfoy!' Draco scolded himself inside of his head. He just had to go through with this, but he was afraid he wouldn't be able to make it through the morning until the wedding reception. He breathed in and out slowly, trying to regain composure as he caught Potter's stare. He smirked as he usually did to cover up his emotions, even thought his hands were trembling with fear, fear of what would come next.
But it came soon enough. Ginny strode down the aisle, basked in all her glorious beauty. Her shining marmalade colored hair, her sparkling brown eyes, and her grace as she flew down the aisle. He had to turn away to keep from running over there and crying at her feet. 'So close yet so far away' he said in his head as he watched Potter take Ginny's hand. He didn't hear the preacher's words as he tried to will himself not to cry. Alas, it was all in vain as silent tears crept down his face. The ceremony was over, and his world crumbled with one earth-shattering kiss. He turned away from the crowd, and walked out of the chapel's doors. 'I can always fake sick' he told himself. He ran and ran to an abandoned tree in the chapel's yard. There he laid his head down and sobbed and sobbed, he never did stop crying. His heart would be crying for evermore.

Harry and Ginny laughed happily as they danced into their hotel rooms for the night.
"I love you Ginny"
"I love you and only you Harry"

"I love you Virginia" cried a voice, alone, in a chapel which had been abandoned for 10 years.
