Elementary Blues

"Class we have some exchange students from Japan coming today at lunch," Mrs. Person said. (Mrs. Person is my fifth grade teacher)

An: Quick note, this happens in my fifth grade year in Montana. Um it mentions all my buddies. I dreamt this up in homeroom.

Jessica (me) stared at the clock. It was 11:50. *Almost lunch* she thought. Jessica was thinking about her life, while Mrs. Person was talking about the math test they were taking that day. Campbell (a guy) and Kathryn, who sat on each side of her was singing 'Mr. Sandman'.
"Class I'd like you to meet Inuyasha Tensho, Kagome Higarashi, Sango Tanuki, and Miroku Houshi," everyone but Jessica said hi. Kathryn nudged her. "Konnichi wa," Jessica said. "Jessica you speak Japanese," Mrs. Person said. "Yes ma'am" she replied. "Since you speak Japanese, I suggest that you show them around," Mrs. Person said. "Mrs. Person I can only speak some of it," Jessica said.
"You can sit down over there in the desks right by Jessica," Mrs. Person pointed to a clump of desks located in front of that girl. *She seems a little pissed off.* Kagome thought.
Mrs. Person walked over to the door and switched off the lights. Everyone lined up. Jessica was in front of Kagome who was in front of Sango who was in front of Inuyasha who was in front of Miroku who was last. Today's lunch was chicken strips and mashed potatoes. Jessica thanked the lunch ladies and walked to their table with 5 trays.
"Here you go," Jessica said. "Nani," Inuyasha questioned. "Don't fool me I heard you guys mumbling in English." She said with a laugh. Sango whispered into Kagome's ear. They both laughed.
Sango was staring at her food mindlessly. Kagome and Inuyasha were chewing their food hardily. Miroku was just fiddling with his spoon. While Jessica looked around wondering when he was going to dismiss them. All of the sudden Jessica H., Makayla, Brooke, and Nichole walked up. "What do you want," Jessica said looking up and giving the evil glare. "Nothing to do with you Johnson. We wanted to know Inuyasha Tensho had a girl friend," Nichole asked. "No I'm sure I don't and I'd like you to leave us alone," Inuyasha said. "Thank you," Jessica mouthed towards Inuyasha. "Your Dismissed," Mr. Zach said
