And He Dreams of Her
With my arms outstretched to the green light,
I pray that fate will find her here.
The sun will no longer seem bright
When I can finally hold her near.
Her brilliant eyes will wrap me round;
Their dark lights like a promise of dawn.
Her thrilling voice, a heavenly sound,
Will soothe the chaos to perfect calm.
Time has stopped while I wait in the dark –
Praying that she will finally be here,
And nothing could banish her from my heart –
Not a thousand clocks or a thousand years.
I can see here even now: Life's Perfection;
Forever the sole idol of all my affection.
