Hold Me

The end of Bulma's robe trailed behind her as she made her way down the hall. The thunder and lightning outside kept invading her dreams, and keeping her up. She had tried everything to try to get back to sleep, but nothing seemed to work. Not warm milk, earplugs, or even doing work down in her lab worked. This was her last resort.

Once she got to the end of the hall she took a right. There was a single door with a silver handle. Bulma stood a few feet from the door contemplating whether she should go inside or not. Through a window she could see the forest that stood nearby. All of a sudden, a bolt of lightning struck the ground followed by a loud crash of thunder. Making a quick decision, she ran to the door and ran into the room, slamming the door behind her. Bulma pressed her back to the door and took a deep breath. "Woman, what are you doing?!" Vegeta's head popped up from the pillow on which it rested.

"I.........I.........I couldn't get to sleep." she stammered. "And I was wondering..."

"Well? What were you wondering?" he said impatiently. Bulma then regained her courage, "I was wondering if I could sleep in your bed tonight........." Vegeta scowled.

Noticing this, Bulma turned around and was about to leave when she heard Vegeta get out of bed. "Fine woman, but don't expect me to do this often." he warned.

As Bulma walked over to Vegeta's bed she noticed Vegeta taking some of the sheets from the bed. "What are you doing?" she questioned. Vegeta looked at her as if she were the dumbest person in the world, "I'll sleep on the floor while you sleep in my bed." Bulma shook her head.

"No, I was wondering if I could sleep on one side of your bed, not if I could use the whole bed silly." Had there had been any light on Vegeta's side of the room, you would have seen his cheeks glow a bright red.

Once Vegeta got the sheets back on the bed, they both took one side of the king-sized bed and got under the covers. Bulma backed up against Vegeta's chest and closed her eyes. After this Vegeta, as if out of instinct, put his arm around her and closed his eyes also.

Only a few moments passed until they where both asleep.
