He was a short scrawny glasses-wearing so-called freak
He never used to think he was special, no
He'd just sit in the cupboard in Dudley's clothes
The scar everyone looked at
That came from a weird green light
Well at least there was one thing that it would do all right
That boy would trance

He was some sort of slave, he got knocked to the floor
But the wizards would gape when he walked through the door
'Cause one thing I can tell you for sure

Quidditch team, he had gotten a place
A Seeker that flies high, he found a way to Snitch-chase
If he was on your side, you'd always win
But he had a problem with Dementors again
He never knew about his past
He was always kept in the dark
And he had all those nightmares that would show him some weird snake-skull mark

Well, his hair was a mess, and his clothes didn't fit
His eyesight was bad, so he'd stumble a bit

Now he plays Quidditch for England
