Chapter 1: Stupid Requirement
"Stupid manager. Making the tensai leave his apartment!" Sakuragi muttered under his breath. The afternoon sun was just beginning to set and it looked pretty amazing from his point of view. He was sitting on a solitary bench, away from the noise of the city and overlooking the ocean, and his copper eyes taking in the beauty before him.
It would have been a perfect scene, if it weren't for the fact that he was here because he had no other place to go to and that he was completely broke.
He sighed, looking back down at his bags. He's been kicked out of his apartment. Again. It wasn't much of a surprise since he knew he hasn't been paying the rent, like the others he's lived in, but still! To literally kick a person out of his apartment with less than five minutes to pack up or else said person is to be shot by a pistol is just plain harsh. College was hard enough, but problems just wouldn't rest.
His friends all had their own places to stay, why does this have to happen to him? The one and only tensai?
He sighed for the sixteenth time that day at his untimely misfortune and shifted his attention back to the paper that was in his hand. Lists of vacant apartments were on the newspaper, with some people searching for new roommates. Nearly half of them had already been victimized by Sakuragi, and he guessed they wouldn't be too welcome of his presence. And the others, aside from the fact that the monthly pay was too high, just weren't his type.
He scanned the list one last time, ignoring all the cross marks.
Suddenly he leaned closer to the paper, his eyes on one small box he hadn't paid much attention to earlier.
Wanted: roommate, particularly female.
Who would be so stupid as to put that as a requirement? He thought to himself. There wasn't even a note indicating how much it would cost. He started on the top of the list again, and found that the one with the stupid requirement was the only one left. The others were hastily crossed out, and as desperation for a place to sleep tonight seeped in, he stood up.
The baka would just have to accept a male for once. He started walking rapidly towards the big city, following the small address below the stupid and only requirement.

Wow was the only thought that percolated in the redhead's brain as he stepped out of the elegant elevator, and into the even more elegant hallway.
It really wasn't what he was expecting. It didn't particularly look like an apartment; it seemed more like a hotel. The foyer's walls were cream and clean. It wasn't very often that he saw that. The ceiling was lit well, not too dim like most of the other's he's been to.
He slowly made his way to the room number indicated on the paper which was still on his hand, some heavy bags slung on either side of him.
312, 313, 314, 315, 316, 317…
"Aha!" Sakuragi exclaimed as he reached room number 318. Dropping his bags and still clutching his trusty column, he knocked on the door, armed with his dialogue:
Hi! I know that your ad said that you wanted a female, but since I'm desperate and I don't have any place to stay, would you mind accepting a male tensai just this once?
"Just a minute!" a voice came from inside.
As said, after a full minute of waiting with Sakuragi tapping his foot impatiently and looking around, the door opened at last.
"Finally! I was-" the redhead stopped in mid sentence as he realized who was in the doorway.
Gravity-defying hair, a tall build, calm blue eyes, a seemingly permanent smile plastered on the face…
"Sendoh?!"
