Draco Malfoy sat in his own compartment on the Hogwarts Express after having being kicked out the Slytherin compartment. EVERYONE had heard, of course. Draco's anger flared and he looked out the window at the countryside.

"You're a SPY? For DUMBLEDORE?!" Draco asked his father, who just smiled at him. "Stop looking at me like that-you're creeping me out!" Draco yelled. "Do you have any idea what this means?" Draco asked in a deadly whisper. "I'll have to be nice to all my 'enemies', my house will no longer accept me, I-" Draco fumed. "Draco," his mother started kindly "You'll make new friends-besides-those people are not good to be acquainted with." "We were 'those people' for countless years!" Draco cried. "Draco, there's nothing to worry about! We've even asked Dumbledore to allow you to be resorted." Lucius offered, trying to bargain with his son. Draco responded by walking out of the room, robes billowing behind him, and slamming the door.

A loud noise awoke Draco from his reminiscing. A tall girl met his eyes. "Sorry 'bout that, darn things so heavy." She said, referring to her huge trunk. Draco noticed that she had deep green eyes and flaming red hair, which had been curled, piled in a clip. "Do you mind if I sit? The rest of the compartments are full and my brother, Ron, is quite annoying-" "Your Weasley's sister?" Draco asked, amazed. "You got a problem with that?" Ginny grunted while trying to shove her trunk into an overhead compartment. "No," Draco replied, getting up and walking over to Ginny, "You just don't seem as…" Draco stopped, searching for the right word.  "Hostile?" Ginny suggested as she and Draco gave the trunk one last push. Ginny turned to face him. "Look, I know our family's are like east coast vs. west coast" Confused looks from Draco "It's a muggle thing- but what have you done to me, specifically? Nothing-so why should I be hostile?" Draco liked this-she was very straightforward and smart. "Draco." He said, offering his hand. Ginny grinned a toothy grin and shook it. "Ginny."
