Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
*Chapter One: Dreams*
Harry Potter suddenly woke. He had just had the worst dream. Ever since Voldemort returned Harry had been getting the same dreams, he had been haunted by the visions of that night. Voldemort was closing in on Harry with his wand outstretched in front of him, ready to fight to the death. Then his mother and father would appear and Harry couldn't help but wish that he was with them so he didn't have to go through it all. He remembered Cedric and his last wish for Harry. It was a terrible feeling.
Harry got up and looked at himself in the mirror, but nothing had changed, there was nothing different about him. But he felt different, these dreams made him feel scared. As he was looking in the mirror he heard his uncle snoring in the next room. He hadn't told his aunt or uncle about Voldemort, and he hadn't planned to until Dumbledore turned up at Privet Drive to explain to them. The Dursley's hated all Wizards and would not tolerate the use of the 'M' word in their house in case any of their neighbours overheard and told the whole of the UK the truth about them, they were a respected family after all. So that day when Dumbledore did turn up Harry was just as surprised as Vernon and Petunia.
"Hello Harry" A familiar voice said. As Harry looked up from where he was sitting he saw the ageing face Of Albus Dumbledore standing in side of the Dursley's house.
"Professor, what are you doing here?" Harry asked trying to hide the look of concern on his face.
"Theres nothing to worry about. I just need to speak to your aunt and uncle." He answered trying not to worry the boy in front of him.
"Boy, who are you talking to?" His uncle asked as he walked into the room. "Wh…What do you want? And what are you doing inside of my home?" He was trying not to panic as he spoke. Harry noticed his uncle try to look out of the window to make sure none of the neighbours were outside looking through the windows of Privet Drive.
"I am here to talk about Harry, I presume that you know of the return of Voldemort?"
"I have no idea what your talking about, and personally I don't want to know!" Vernon said starting to sound quite angry.
"I'm afraid you don't have a choice Mr Dursley. Now what I am about to tell you is very important. Where is your wife? She will have to hear this too." Once Petunia had arrived from her place outside of the door where she had been listening quietly to what was happening inside of the room Dumbledore told Harry to leave. What Dumbledore said to his aunt and uncle Harry didn't know, but he had his own ideas about it. Once Dumbledore left Harry's aunt and uncle began treating him differently. He didn't know why but they were a lot nicer to him.
Harry was still standing looking in the mirror at his reflection. He wondered where Voldemort was now and what he was doing. Was he plotting Harry's death, or maybe he was right outside in the street waiting to place one of the unforgivable curses on him. Harry feared that thought a lot. Just because the Avada Kedavra curse backfired the last time Voldemort tried to kill him, it didn't mean he would be that lucky once again.
With that thought Harry went back to bed for another few restless hours of sleep. The only thing he had to look forward to was the fact that in a few hours he would be getting cards for his 15th birthday of his friends from school.
Sorry that the chapter is quite short, as the story goes on they do get longer. Please review J
