For the Moment

Author Notes: This is a short piece that just came to me one day in English class. It's my first fic so it's probably not that great. Enjoy

Disclaimer: I do not own Yami no Matsuei.
For a moment in time everything stopped. The wind was silent and all the trees where still. That was the only thought that came to Hisoka as he stood under the sakura trees.

The moment of peace seemed to stretch forever as Hisoka thought about the last few weeks of his life.

Purple, was purple truly the color of someone not human as Tsuzuki had implied. Could having purple eyes make you any less human as having the power of empathy?

How could reading others thoughts and emotions be normal? If Tsuzuki was not human than neither was Hisoka. But then another thought struck him. What makes us human? Our abilities, our physical traits, what is the most important thing about being human. The first traits were most likely not the answer that Hisoka was looking for. Hisoka then thought, maybe it was the emotions and thoughts of a person that made them human.

Making mistakes and living each day to the fullest could also be a large part to it Hisoka mused, because to err is human. If that was it Tsuzuki was most certainly human. Hisoka had never met anyone that felt with his whole heart like Tsuzuki could.

But then what would that make me Hisoka wondered. He could not feel with his whole heart, he could not trust and love like Tsuzuki.

"I want to trust and to love and to be everything that I am capable of being", Hisoka softly chanted to himself.

With a fluid movement Hisoka sat down in the dewy grass. He could feel the dew soaking into his jeans but he didn't care. All he wanted was for this moment to last a little longer. If he could find something, anything that would make him human he would be satisfied.

But it was not to be as time resumed and the wind began to slowly blow again. The sakura blossoms were again raining all around his body and Hisoka let out a sigh.

In the distance Hisoka could see a figure approaching which was of course Tsuzuki, who else would come to see a person like himself. Tsuzuki walked slowly towards him from the direction of the Juuouchou building. Hisoka turned to look and him and his ice walls melted for a moment. His mind suddenly changed for a moment

Maybe he could be human too with the help of Tsuzuki. It seemed the pair could get through anything together why not this too.

And as the sakura blossoms began to fall softly towards the ground change had begun inside of the once cold boy. You could not see it from the outside just now, but everything eventually reveals itself with time and patience.
