Pokémon Sapphire: Ramon's Adventure
Chapter 1
Ramon's point of view:
I couldn't believe that I was moving into a new town. My Dad had become a gym leader in Petalburg City, so we had to move to a near by town. I thought it was exciting because I was also getting to start my first Pokémon journey. When I got out of the moving van, I was shocked. This place was a small town. I had been expecting it to be a little bit bigger.
I went into the house, and I saw some Machoke moving our furniture in. My Mom came towards me.
"Ramon, there you are." she said."You should go see Prof. Birch, so you can start your Pokémon adventure."
" Yeah, don't worry Mom, I wouldn't miss that for the world." I replied. I left my house and headed towards Prof. Birch's house. I knocked on the door, and a woman opened the door.
"Hi, you must be one of the people who lice next door." she said. "I have a daughter around the same age as you upstairs. How about you go up and meet her."
Not one to be rude I did what the person, whom was obviously Prof. Birch's wife, said and headed upstairs. When I got up there I was met by a beautiful looking girl. I was stunned for a second, until she turned around.
"What! Who are you?" she asked.
"I'm Ramon. I just moved in next door." I replied, still sort of staring at the girl.
She all of a sudden started to smile. "Oh! I was hoping I would have the chance to meet you. My name is May." she told me. She then seemed to realize something. "You must be here to get a starting Pokémon from my Dad aren't you?" she asked.
"Yeah, actually I am." I said. "Do you think you could show me where he is at?" I nervously asked.
It appeared that she sort of blushed but it quickly went away. " Sure! I'll show you. I'm on my way there to get my first Pokémon too." she replied.
I followed her out of the house and to a big looking building, we went in and I saw a person sitting at a table working on something. He seemed not to even acknowledge that we were even there.
"Hi Dad!" May said to her father. He turned around and looked at us.
"Hi May, and you must be Ramon right?" Prof. Birch asked. " I have heard so much about you from your father.
"Yes sir." I replied. "I'm looking forward to getting my very first Pokémon"
"That is wonderful to hear" Prof. Birch excitedly said. He then turned towards May. "You are going to get your first Pokémon too, right?" he asked her.
"Absolutely Dad." May replied. " I can't wait to choose my starter."
Prof. Birch then looked at both of us. "Very well then." he said. " Ramon, you choose first. You have a choice between Treecko the grass Pokémon, Mudkip the water Pokémon, and Torchic the fire Pokémon."
"I'll choose Mudkip," I replied. Prof Birch handed me the Pokéball. He then turned towards May.
"So, which of the remaining ones will you choose May?" he asked her.
She thought about it carefully and then replied, "I'll take Torchic." He then handed her the Pokéball containing Torchic.
"Both of you have mad excellent choices for your starting Pokémon," Prof Birch told us both. " You both have a long way to go so I'll start you off with 5 Pokéballs each." He handed us our Pokéballs. May the turned to me.
"Ramon, I was wondering if I could go along with you on your Pokémon journey. I don't really want to travel by myself, and I think you would be good company." May asked.
I blushed but then replied, " Sure you can travel with me May. Our Pokémon journeys will be a whole lot better if we travel together." We both then walked out of the Pokémon lab to start our journey. As we walked out, Prof. Birch gave us a knowing look.
After we left he said to himself, " Those two will be together very soon. I can bet my whole career on that."
