PROLOGUE
Tenifru ran through the field, her lithe figure cutting through the tall grass. Her long blue-green hair wipped out behind her as her silvery black eyes stayed locked on her target. She followed the shiny, gold, coated dog to the edge of the Forbidden Lands. She stopped and watched the creature run into the distance.
"Make sure you came back safe!!" she called out through cupped hands.
The dog disappeared over the horizon and Tenifru sighed heavily.
"I know you'll come back," she whispered to herself, "You always come back..."

"You always come back... But why was that night so different? Why didn't you come back?"
Tenifru swirled the amber liquid around in her glass, deep in thought. Someone sat next to her and looked at her curiously.
"What's got a beautiful lady like you looking like that?" he asked.
"I'm on a 'quest', you could say, to find my brother. A long time ago, when we were about 6, he ran off. He used to do it a lot, and he always came back, but htis time...he didn't."
She tipped the rest of the drink into her mouth and set the glass down.
"I see. The name's Duo. I've been looking for something to do to pass the time. Could I maybe help you?"
Tenifru's mood brightened and she smiled at him.
"Really?!"
"Sure. So what's your name?"
"Tenifru. If you're positive you want to come meet me in front of the Inn tomorrow morning at dawn. Bye."
She stood and left the pub, making her way to the Inn to get a room.
