It was the day before Christmas Eve, and I was at Charlie and Casey's house. We were celebrating Christmas two days early, since the whole duck team would be over here the next day for a party.
"Here Charlie, this one's from Gordon to you." I hear Casey's voice talking and a few seconds later Charlie's cries of happiness. "Thanks Coach! This is awesome! An autographed jersey from the MIGHTY DUCKS! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!"
"You're welcome, Charlie. It was my pleasure." I hear myself saying. "But there is one more thing I want to do." I get down on my knee in front of Casey and hear her gasp. "Casey, will you please marry me? I love you, I love Charlie, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you two."
"Mom, say yes. Please!!!! Mom!!"
"I don't know what to say Gordon. Yes. Yes! Gordon, I WILL marry you."
I put the ring I had brought with me onto her finger and pull her face down to mine in order to give her a deep kiss.
