Shichi's Fanfic #1:
A fanfic based on the animted series Tokyo Babylon; X/1999

There are some characters I added here myself, but don't worry, I don't go way beyond the plot. Hehehe. There are some situations that would turn out funny or maybe the characters may not be the way you expected them to be.. anou... let's begin then!

Miyako yawned. This is such a boring day. I can't just go to Sirinu's now...

The park was strewn with fallen sakura blossoms. Miyako thought these trees were very much like the trees back at his hometown in Kyoto, but something is different from those sakura. The sakura of Ueno Park smelled of death and blood. "Such a dangerous beauty."

"I agree," someone spoke behind him. He turned and his eyes met a pair of emerald green eyes looking back at him. The guy standing before him was about in his early twenties, and had blue-black hair. A strange air wafted around him. Miyako raised his brows. The man smiled. "Beautiful, aren't they? But so deadly. Hm... it's the first time I've seen you before. Are you new here?"

"Hai. I came from Kyoto," Miyako answered. The green-eyed guy took a seat beside him. "Ah. Kyoto. I came from there, too. You know, the sakuras at our place is much more beautiful than the ones here. So full of innocence. I miss them. I also miss everyone there."

"Yes. Uhm... why are you here then?"

"Called on business," came the answer. The older man suddenly laughed. "I came here because there's a killer on the lose. Bloodshed's been happening around here lately, and I am supposed to investigate it. So far, I haven't any clue to what the killer's up to now. By the way, I haven't introduced myself. My name is Sumeragi Subaru."

Tension streaked the air. Miyako suddenly caught a terrible amount of energy. His friend's eyes started to look around, and his expression gradually changed from friendly to panicky. He grabbed The younger shonen and started pulling him out of the park's premises. "Let's go."

"Where? Why?"

"He's here. The killer. We must run."

"Who is..."

"Let's go!"

Subaru pulled him out onto the street curb. There, both of them struggled to catch their breaths. Miyako's mind was reeling with thoughts. Who was this killer? Bloodshed. Is this also linked with his mission?

"Anou...are you okay?" he asked a wheezing Subaru. The shonen nodded, but looked pale. He waved the blond off. "I'm fine. Don't worry. I just need to call my friends... tell them about the brush. This would take a minute."

Miyako seated himself on the street bench, looking at the Sumeragi closely. He had acted so scared of the killer. Why? His ears caught the conversation on the cellular phone. "Fuuma... Kamui still isn't there? Anou...I'm fine. Just had a nasty brush. Hai. We'll be going there. Okay. Tell him... okay. Be right there."

Red eyes looked up to see Subaru going towards him. "Yosh. Let's go."

"About time," the teen told him. "It looks like it's gonna rain."

"Hnn.. I see. We'd better hurry."

"Where, Subaru-san?"

The duo came to a stop in front of a tall building.
