I heard my name being called…

"Inuyasha… please speak to me…"

There it goes again…
but where's it coming from?

I feel so weak… I can barely open my eyes…
it's Kagome…I'm sure of it…

"…shut up…I'm not dead yet…"

I chuckle weakly, despite the pain I'm in from my injuries…
the next thing I feel is her arms carefully wrapped around my body,
cradling it as if she were holding a tiny, fragile baby.

"Thank goodness… I thought I might have lost you…"

Lose me? You honestly think that, Kagome?
I'm not going down so easily… I'm a demon, remember?

She hugs me close to her body, crying softly on my face…

"Kagome… I'll be fine…"

Boy…that was a lie and a half. I'm dying,
yet I'm not afraid…

I weakly reach up and wipe away her tears with my hand.

"Kagome… there's something I have to tell you…"

This is it… I have to tell her before it's too late…before I die.

She looks at me sadly and touches my cheek.

"Please tell me you're going to be okay, Inuyasha… please…"

"I wish I could say yes…but…"

Time is slipping away… I have to tell her now…

"Kagome… I… love you…"

She stares at me for a brief moment then tears begin streaming down her face.

Then everything goes dark…
