Whitley Schnee, also known as Batman, is a masked vigilante operating in the most vile and corrupt city of Atlas called 'Gotham City'. When he was five, he witnessed his grandfather and mother dying from a burglar in an alleyway near a theater. They were on a business trip with the mayor of Gotham City about Dust. He has felt guilty for their deaths ever since due to the fact he begged them to leave early because of his fear of bats, which the stage performers were portraying bat-like creatures. Ever since then, Whitley lost his childhood and innocence early before being trained by the family butler, Klein. He swore to take over the Schnee Dust Company from his cruel and vile father who treats his children as nothing more than a prize collection. He wants to save his older sister, Weiss, from doing what she truly loves the most, which is fulfilling her dreams as a Huntress. He may not have a good relationship with his other siblings, but that's because he felt guilty that they had to grow up without a mother.
One night, Whitley was invited by his father to a party to celebrate the success of forming a deal with one of the most powerful men in Gotham named 'Carmine Falcone'. Out of disbelief that his father made a deal with a criminal, Whitley needed to catch his breath near the balcony. There, he was inspired to become the Dark Knight of Gotham when an injured bat landed near him. He was terrified, at first, but soon realized that the creature was like him - ordinary - despite displaying themselves as fear itself. He had a conversation with an intern for SDC named 'Lucius Fox' where he tasked him to create a suit for him and keep it a secret from his father. After a few days, his father sent him to Gotham in order to stabilize the relationship between Falcone and SDC for two years, which he accepted so that he can operate as the vigilante known as the Batman and bring vengeance to the criminals that deserves punishment.
Whitley has been operating in the streets of Gotham City for two whole years. Dressing as a bat, the criminals truly feared him throughout those short years. He may have a few rough moments in his first night as Batman due to his inexperience in actual crime fighting, but he learned and studied everyday to the point he was considered beyond human. He learned other martial arts after facing some assassins that hailed from an unknown location and detective skills after he had to improvise in finding dangerous criminals such as Killer Croc. It wasn't easy facing these villains without any Aura nor Semblance, but he had done just fine without any of them. He also isn't planning on unlocking them very soon for it'll defeat the purpose of reminding him that he is human and the fact his Semblance could be flashy like his sisters.
POWERS: Batman is an ordinary human. He doesn't have an Aura nor Semblance due to the fact he is incapable of producing them. It is theorized that his Aura and Semblance was suppressed due to his traumatic experience with his parents' death and phobia of bats when he was only five years old. It may be further suppressed due to experiencing things he shouldn't have seen at a young age in Gotham City.
ABILITIES: Batman is very skill at martial arts due to fighting a couple of skilled enemies like the League of Assassins who were sent to assassinate him for ruining their plans to 'change' Gotham, though he isn't a master with these skills yet, except for Keysi and Boxing. He is also quite skilled as a detective, being able to deduce and locate a criminal's location within mere minutes, though he made a few errors and has yet to completely master his detective skills as well. The skills he managed to master, however, are stealth, acrobatics, and gadgetry that are invented by Lucius Fox.
EQUIPMENT: The Batsuit protects him from firearms and explosion, courtesy of Lucius Fox. He was disturbed by how heavy the Batsuit was as it tremendously dragged him down during the first night at first, but he eventually got used to it after two years of wearing it. The utility belt contains his special gears such as the batarangs, grapnel gun, smoke bombs, and more in courtesy of Lucius Fox as usual.
WEAKNESS: His greatest weakness is that he's an ordinary human compared to his friends, but it is also his greatest strength as his enemies would severely underestimate him. Batman may be prepared to dodge attacks, but he can still be killed by any means without an Aura, hence why his friends were very surprised that he managed to fight powerful enemies without any soul protection. His other weakness is that he can be psychologically damaged when he sees his deceased grandfather and mother, which was the tactic used by Jervis Tetch aka the Mad Hatter, but he often overcomes it due to his immense willpower stemmed from that exact trauma.
