The Bearer of the Stone Heart
Chapter I : The Beginning
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~_Syaoran's POV_~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked into the school building and went to put my stuff in my locker.
Sakura Kinomoto, this girl who I really like, who's locker just happened to be beside mine (At my request...hehe)
was crying, so I tried to comfort her. (Not usually my thing, but hey, if it get's the job done!)
"Hey," I said softly, "What's wrong?"
I waited for a response but never got one. Weird. Usually she's inergetic and hanging out with
her *girl-friends* (I mean friends that ARE girls), but today she wasn't. She was sitting on the floor
next to her locker.
"Sakura?"
She turned away further.
"What happened to make you cry? Did someone hurt you?"
She cried harder.
I went to put an arm around her to show her I cared, but..
*SMACK!*
"OUCH!" I yelped. "Sakura, I won't hurt you, I'm trying to HELP you!" I said rubbing my cheek that was getting redder by the minute.
*Sniff* *SNiff* *Sob* "Go away!" she exclaimed as she got the books she needed, slamming her locker door and running into the bathroom to wait for the bell. By this time, a crowd had gathered around where I stood.
"NANI!?! Quit starring! It's not polite!" I said, slamming my locker door and walking into class.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*Sakura's POV~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was sitting on the floor crying when I heard someone. I looked up slowly, not moving
from my spot nor bothering to wipe the streaming tears from my face. I felt horrible for what
had happened to me last night, and I couldn't quit thinking about it which only made matters worse.
"Hey," Syaoran said quietly, "What's wrong?"
I didn't bother to respond, but only laid my head in my hands and continued to cry.
"Sakura?" he asked after a few moments of silence.
I turned my body even farther away from him, hoping he'd go away, but he didn't.
"What happened to make you cry? Did someone hurt you?" he asked.
I knew he was concerned, but fear, sadness and horror overwhelmed the other emotions
I once held inside. I just didn't care what he thought, but I wasn't telling him, but I did cry harder without realizing it.
He then tried to put his arm around me, but I slapped him, hard...okay, maybe a little too hard?
Nah, he'll live....now me on the other hand......
"OUCH!" he yelped. "Sakura, I won't hurt you, I'm trying to HELP you!" he said.
*Sniff* *SNiff* *Sob* "Go away!" I shouted as I got the books for my class, then closed my locker and ran into the nearest lady's room to get some privacy to sort my thoughts and attempt to straighten my jumbled emotions.
The last thing I heard before the door slammed shut was him shouting "NANI!?! Quit starring! It's not polite!" and then the sound of a locker being slammed closed.
I went into the nearest stall, sat down the seat and crawled attop, setting my books on the lid below me.
What a nightmare, and it was my nightmare! It wasn't corny like some teen- aged horror movie,
but it-was real, and it happened.............to me!
I burst into tears and cried. I wrapped my arms around my legs and just cried for along time...
I don't even know how long. It seemed like only a few minutes, but I guess that was because all
of the thoughts and flashbacks going through my head. I didn't even hear the bell when it went off!
I sat there thinking and crying until my body gave up from being weak from crying and the night-before's happenings,
I fell asleep.
