There she was, lying in bed, with her eyes wide open. Somewhere, in the mess of thoughts that she was now, she was gladly thanked of herself for having pulled the curtains of her four-poster closed, otherwise she would have to answer to many questions of her roommates.
Lying in the dark, she tried to remember what had just happened. Everything was so fast. If someone told her at dinner that in 2 hours she would have done it, she wouldn't believe them. She longed for that moment for quite some time now, but never actually thought that it would really happen.
It wasn't the way she thought it would have been. It was better, much better.
She had never talked much about the subject, not even bothered to listen to the endless conversations that the other girls had in the common room. Sometimes she would listen to one or other absurd sentence that one of them would say, but she just laughed to herself. She wondered if any of the girls she knew would believe her if she told them what had just happened.
But at that moment, around ten o'clock at night, she didn't care much about the other girls or anything important that could have been happening at that moment. Professor Dumbledore could've been doing some important announcement at the great hall, the English Quidditch team could've been arriving at Hogwarts at that very moment that she wouldn't care.
Then a tiny smile appeared in the corner of her mouth, then she started to grin, almost laughing. She was really happy with herself. She had the weird impression that everything was different around her now. First was the way she walked, feeling the cold stone of the Hogwarts corridors beneath her feet. There was the way she held his hand when they were going back to the common room together. And of course their kiss was very different now, much better.
Her thoughts stopped for a moment when she heard the door opening. 'Probably just one of the girls' she thought.
"It's me babe! Are you there?" It was his voice.
"Yeah, get in before someone else comes in and sees you here" She told him. He crawled in her bed and just laid there beside her.
"Are you ok?" he asked. She smile, although he couldn't see it.
"You have no idea how good I feel now. Thank you" She whispered in his ear and kissed him on the cheek.
"Why?" He asked in a puzzled voice.
"Because you just showed me how beautiful every little thing can be."
"Oh, ok then. My job is done" he said sarcastically
The two of them said nothing for a while, just laid there just enjoying each other presence. Then she came closer and started to kiss him. Almost instantly he responded to her kisses. She moved to his neck and got on top of him, unbuttoning his shirt.
"Hermione, behave yourself, we're in your room. Lavender or any of the girls can come in, anyone actually" She took her want and muttered a spell under her breath, and, between kisses in his neck, said "Loosen up, Harry Potter. No one will hear us. And if someone tries to open these curtains they won't see a thing." And in the next hour no one was able to find Harry or Hermione, even though some people knew what they were doing in secret.
