Therefore, Clark and Lana are not a couple
There was a bright light. Lana moved towards it, it seemed so soothing. What had happened? Lana knew nothing except to move to the light.
"Lana!"
Next thing she knew she was spitting up water and wheezing and coughing.
"Lana, it's OK" A guy said to her
His voice sounded so familiar, she looked over to see Clark Kent kneeling over her. She looked around, now familiar with her surrounding, she had almost died drowning, and Clark had saved her. Clark always saved her.
"Clark" she whispered "Hold me"
He wrapped his arms around her and held her. So happy that she was OK. She pressed her wet body against his, feeling so safe in his arms as he hugged her. She began to cry and he comforted her, he ran his fingers through her hair and rubbed her back in a massaging motion. She cried into his chest.
"It's OK, I'm here, It's OK" He whispered to her
"Thank God" she whispered back
He wanted to kiss her more than anything. If she moved in for a kiss, he doubted that he would back away. But she didn't.
"What about Emily?" She whispered to him
He kissed her head lightly so she would have no idea of what he just did.
"Don't worry, the police will find her"
She broke apart from the hug.
"Let me take you home" Clark said to her
Lana nodded and stood up, as soon as she did she felt so dizzy that she grabbed on to Clark's arm.
"I'm sorry, but I'm dizzy"
"It's okay, can you walk?"
"Help me"
He nodded and wrapped his arms around her stomach and helped her walk home. They barely spoke. They got to her house a few minutes later, Lana was shivering and Clark was trying his best to keep her warm. To anyone who didn't know them they would think the Clark and Lana where the cutest couple in the world. They were huddled so close together as they walked. As soon as they got to the house Chloe saw them through the window. She ran out.
"Lana!" She called "What happened"
"It's a long story," Clark said, helping Lana walk in the house
Lana's teeth chattered "Emily.. she pushed me in the river.. I almost died.. Clark saved me"
"Are you okay?" Chloe asked, concerned
"I almost died, but I'm okay" Lana said with humor in her voice "It's cold"
"Come with me, I'll get you some clothes to change in" Chloe said
"I better leave" Clark said, "I'll let my mother know you are okay"
"Okay" Lana said "Clark, thank you for just being there"
"No problem" He smiled at her and then left.
Chloe helped Lana up the stairs and got her her clothes to change into. Lana slept for about 3 hours. She walked into Chloe's room, where Chloe was doing homework.
"Hey" Chloe said, seeing her "How do you feel?"
Lana smiled "Worried about Emily"
"Are you OK?"
"I'll be fine" She sat down on Chloe's bed "Are you over your crush on Clark?"
Chloe smiled "I think so, It's not like we are even friends anymore"
Lana's eyes grew sad "You'll be friends again, I know it"
"Why are you talking about Clark?"
"He thinks I'm so perfect. I don't know why, I'm afraid that some say he'll see the real me and he won't think I'm so great anymore"
"Lana, I share a house with you, I've seen you at your worst. And even at your worst you are perfect"
Lana laughed and shook her head "I'm not"
"You are pretty, happy all the time, I still don't know how you do that, nice, smart, and most of all Clark Kent's dream girl"
"That is not true"
"Lana, It is"
Lana shook her head, She had to talk to Clark, she got up off Chloe's bed.
"I need to go take a walk"
"You are going to Clark's, you don't have to hide it"
Lana smiled "I'll be back by dinnertime"
She got up quickly and took off the Clark's house.
