We Are X-Men
Setting: It's a beautiful morning. Birds are chirping, the sky is blue, and the X-Men are just getting up. The scene zooms in as Jean opens her window and takes in a deep breath of cool, fresh air. As Jean turns back towards her room, the music to "All That Jazz" from Chicago surrounds her.
Jean: My name's Jean
And I've got mental powers
(Closes closet and drawers to the beat of the music)
I am X-Men!
(Room switches to Kitty's)
Kitty: I'm Kitty Pryde
(Walks through wall into Jubilee's room)
And this is Jubilee
(Jubilee flashes her fireworks to the music)
Both: We are X-Men!
(Switches to Rogues room)
Rogue: I am Rogue
Now watch and see me fly
And hey, lookee here
I've got some super strength
(Lifts her bed with one hand)
And though I cannot touch
I still have lots of fun
Cause I'm...X...Men!
All: We are X-Men!
Jean and Rogue: (As they appear in the hallway)
Hatcha
Jubilee and Kitty: (As they appear in hallway)
Whoopee
All: We are X-Men!
(Continue dancing until scene changes to Scott's room and next verse begins)
Scott: Scott's my name
And lasers are my game
(Blasts a whole through the wall, peeks his head, and shrugs his shoulder while singing.)
I am X-Men!
Kurt: I am the blue elf Kurt
(Teleports into Alex's room)
This is Alex S.
(Alex blasts a hole into Bobby's room. He and Kurt look in innocently.)
Both: We are X-Men!
Bobby: Bobby Drake
I am the coolest guy
Hey, is it cold in here
Or maybe it's just me
Cause when you've got the ice
It always feels so nice
To be...X…Men!
(Boys dance until next verse, when scene switches to Storm outside)
Storm: I'm the witch
Who can control the winds
(Creates a tornado in front of her)
I am X-Men!
(Scene changes to foyer where Professor X is)
Xavier: Right up here
Is where I've got the power
(Does a wheelie)
I am X-Men!
(Storm dances and sings while Xavier does wheelchair tricks.)
Storm: We are more
Than just another school
We've got a Danger Room
And the Cerebro too
And when we've gotta fly
We've got the finest jet
Cause we're...X…Men!
(Jean and Rogue fixing their hair in the bathroom)
Both: Oh, we're gonna have ourselves a brand new day
We are X-Men!
(Kitty and Jubilee putting on make-up in another bathroom)
Both: Oh, we're gonna start it in a whole new way
We are X-Men!
(Scott and Alex fixing their hair in the bathroom)
Both: We'll have lots and lots of music
Gellin till our hair is so slick
(Bobby and Kurt whisper to each other in Bobby's room)
Both: Do not fear
The fun is here
All: We are…X…Men!
(Teens appear on opposite side of the second floor and dance as they move towards the center stairs)
All: We're...X…Men!
(Teens line up next to each other. 1. Scott and Jean 2. Alex and Rogue 3. Kurt and Kitty 4. Bobby and Jubilee. They sing and dance while going down the stairs)
1 and 3: Come on folks 2 and 4: Oh, we're gonna have ourselves
Come join and sing with us A brand new day

And throw the night away In a whole new way

(Xavier and Storm join the teens on the foyer. They form a horizontal pyramid. Scott, Alex, Kurt, and Bobby in the back. Kitty, Jubilee, and Rogue in the next row. Jean and Storm in the next row. Xavier in the front.)
All: No, we're not normal
But, oh, we're still special
Cause we're…X…Men!
X-Men!
(Everyone raises there hands in the air, and Jubilee showers everyone with fireworks)
