Hello everyone!! Welcome to my very first published fanfic!!! * Pops champagne cork* Anyway I've written fanfics before I've just never published them. So please don't flame me if you don't like it!! So here it is enjoy and don't forget to review!!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ It was late at night somewhere around 3:00 am. The moon was full and everyone was asleep. Everyone that is except for our favorite hanyou. Inuyasha was in a tree as usual watching the moon and the people who slept on the ground bellow him.
However one person drew his attention more than the others. Kagome she was a mystery to him. She knew he had chosen to protect Kikyou yet she still wanted to remain by his side instead of running away to her time. He didn't understand why she did it but he was glad she had. For some reason he was just always at peace when she was around and at his wits and nerves end when she wasn't.
He wanted to tell her that. (Maybe then she'll stay and not keep going to back to her time!!) He thought. (Ahhhh!! Who am I kiddin she'll never want to stay with me I'm just a stupid hanyou) He looked up at the moon. (Still if she didn't like me why would she want to stay with me?)
Suddenly the sound of his name disrupted his thoughts. "Inuyasha?!" He heard it again he looked down to see Kagome tossing and turning in her sleep. "Inuyasha where are you?" she moaned "I'm scared Inuyasha!!" She was clutching the covers and her face was scrunched while she slept.
He jumped out of his tree and came over to where she slept. He sat down next to her and placed a hand gently on her shoulder. "Shhh! It's alright Kagome I'm here." He whispered to her. She brought her hand up and placed it on his. "Thank you I was so scared you were fighting and then everything went black I thought you had died!" She whispered back still unconscious. Inuyasha smiled "Well I'm not dead so just go back to sleep ok." He got up to leave but she grabbed his hand and he turned to look at her. Her eyes were open and she had a sort of desperate look on her face.
"Please don't go." She pleaded staring him in the eyes. Inuyasha only nodded before sitting back down. Kagome bit her bottom lip trying to make up her mind. "Umm... Inuyasha?" "Yes?" he replied. "Uhh. do you think you could lie down with me?"
She looked down as a faint blush crept to her cheeks. Inuyasha was wide eyed he'd never dreamed she would ask this of him. "Umm. I guess so." He answered and she smiled at him. Kagome held the sleeping bag open while Inuyasha crawled inside. She turned over onto her side her back towards him. Inuyasha crept down so that her head was level with his chest He wrapped his arm around her waist and placed his chin atop her head.
Kagome sighed and relaxed snuggling into him she smiled. Inuyasha could not believe he was holding the woman he loved in his arms. He felt her heart rate and breathing slow as she fell asleep. He then heard the one sentence he thought he'd never hear her say. "I love you Inuyasha." And with that she was asleep.
Inuyasha lay there for several minutes running Kagome's words through his head. (She loves me?) He thought. And then He leaned his mouth towards her ear "I love you too Kagome." And even though she was asleep Inuyasha knew she heard him, Because as soon as he said it she smiled and snuggled closer. Inuyasha smirked and then fell into the best sleep of his life.
THE END Well I hope you liked it!!! This was just a one shot fluff story but planning to write another one that might have some lemony goodness in it!!!* Smiles recklessly* Oh well please review ok bye!!
