Thanks for the reviews for the last poem I wrote.. ^^ This one wasn't for class, but I had fun
with the first one, so I decided to write almost a sequel to it, as if it were written by Kurama
himself. It's sort of a reply.. This was all written in about ten minutes, so bear with me.
Please read and review..

"You needn't ask such as that
I stay for the peace of mind
For if I left
The pain would drive me mad
This once cold heart has been filled
By human emotions of which you claim indifference
If you would just interrogate me
My answer will always be the same
I'll never go, thus this feeling between us will never be erased

You needn't say such things about yourself
You aren't near as bad as you claim
We all have scars apon our hearts
Which will never go away
A thief I also was
Stealing my way through life
But everyone can change, and thus I did
You could too, if you'd let yourself
By a hunter I was shot
And so fled to earth
Where I claimed reincarnation in the body
Of an unborn child

You dislike my feelings for my human mother
Though I look beyond that
For I owe her everything
All the love she has bestowed apon me
Even once she saved my life
Though her arms remain scarred
Glass is a dangerous thing
Human bodies are so frail

I dig below your stubbornness
To the real you which lies within
Beneath your cold indifference
You're not nearly as bad as everyone sees
If only you would see this
Perhaps you'd think differently
Many people care for you
You shouldn't shun them aside
For they only want to help
Myself included
You're the closest thing to me
Despite yourself

Your only family remaining
Is a sister who knows not of you
You say she deserves better
But there's nothing better than you
Despite what you think
She'd look beyond the surface as I do
All the thieving and killing would make no difference
To her, as it doesn't to me
You've changed, whether you know it or not
She needs you, as you need her
Family shouldn't remain apart like this
She's searching for you, and I shan't tell her
But I strongly believe you should

I trust you with my life
And I hope you'll soon see
I'll never ever leave you
For the sadness would kill me"
