He sat on the bench, watching feet walk back and forth in front of the bench. He kept watching the shoes, the legs. Not searching faces.

Looking for faces meant she could read his.

"Dean?" saddle shoes. Bare, pale legs. Blue and gray plaid skirt.

"Rory" he looked up slowly."Hey"

"Hey..?"
*******************
How can you see into my eyes, like open doors?
Leading you down into my core,
That has become so numb?

*******************
She locked her fingers with his, running. Running past the town, past the looks.

Past windows, with their faces, each waiting for the everyday schedule. They wanted to see Rory walk home, lost in a book. See Jess chase after her. Kissing. Young love.

They ran faster, Dean tripping over his longer limbs, falling over onto Rory, arms hanging limp at her side.

Pushing Dean against a tree, she looked up at him."What is it?"

He shook his head, stroking her cheek carefully.

"Really..Dean. What is it?"

Dean cupped her cheek, pulling her into a long kiss.
*******************
You fill my soul,
My spirit's sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there in me,
Bring it back... home.

*******************
She rested her hand against his chest, fingers shaking.

"I..I hated the way I left things. He, You deserve better" Dean muttered into her hair.

Rory pursed her lips."He left. To California".

Clutching her cheek, her hands tracing his chest, unbuttoning the shirt slowly, Dean pulled her into another kiss. His hands traced down her side, circling her waist, fingers crawling up her shirt.

She just sighed.
*********************
Wake me up), Wake me up inside,
(I can't wake up), Wake me up inside,
(Save me), Call my name and save me from the dark,
(Wake me up), Bid my blood to run,
(I can't wake up), Before I come undone,
(Save me), Save me from the nothing I've become.

"I'm scared. I want this more than anything, but I'm scared." he whispered into her neck, fingers playing with the almost medical looking white bra straps against her paler skin.

"You're so young.."

Dean tipped her chin, kissing where he had left his words. He closed his eyes."It feels right. I'm just scared."

Rory's hand clutched his face, nails digging down his cheeks.

"I want so much from everything" he whispered as she traced his chest with her lips."Is this the right thing to do?"
*********************

Now that I see what am without,
You can't just leave me.
Breathe into me and make me real,
Bring me to life.
***********************

He lifted her into his arms, her legs circling his waist. Rory let herself go limp, resting her weight, her impossibly pale limbs against his.

"Goodbye" Dean muttered."Thank you, thank you Rory"

She lifted herself closer to him, lifting her hips with his thrusts.Over and over, their skin beaded with sweat, hands clutching with death grips.

Rory dug her nails into his chest. Dean grabbed her shoulders, leaving big red imprints against her skin.

"Thank you for everything, Rory" he whispered as she fell limp against him.
*********************
Frozen inside without your touch,
Without your love,
Darling, only you,
Can bring life from the dead.
***********************
She dressed slowly, shivering from the breeze that seemed to settle in her bones.

In his sleepy-daze, Dean reached out for her hand, kissed her palm.

"She's lucky, Lindsay". Rory buttoned the uniform top up, leaning over to brush the sweat soaked hair away from Dean's face."You're doing the right thing."

He smiled drunkenly as she left him against the tree, making her way back into town, past the windows with the lights on now, the people sitting at their tables for dinner.

Bring me to life
(I've been living a lie),
(There's nothing inside)
Bring me to life
