Chapter One: Remembering
"Harry, you have to wake up! We're going to be late for breakfast! And Marie is going to be there!" said Ron. "What? Why are you at my house Ron? Why aren't you at the Burrow?" said Harry groggily. "Harry, you have officially lost your mind! We ARE at the Burrow! We AREN'T on Privet Drive! You're such a dunce!" said Ron irritably. "Oh yeah! I forgot!" said Harry, sitting up bolt right. "Marie? What's she doing here? Oh yeah, she's here with me.she's my only witch friend except for Hermione, right?" said Harry. "Wow, that fall off you're broomstick must of really messed up your mind. Marie is you're girlfriend Harry! Remember? You turned down Cho for Marie!" said Ron. Harry had fallen off of his broomstick a week ago, and had been out cold for a long time. His memory had been damaged, and he'd forgotten everything that had happened that summer. He had been asked to be Cho Chang's boyfriend before they had gotten on the Hogwart's Express, and had turned her down because of the transfer student from America. She really liked him, and had told him so the day before Cho asked him. And he knew he had feelings for her, so he had turned down Cho. Marie had come to England because Voldemort had turned up in America. Voldemort murdered her father, and her mother had barely survived. She, like Harry, had to come and live with her family in England. But there was a down point: they were Muggles, and they despised magic. But they still let her practice her magic, but she had to do it in secret, at night, and were they couldn't see her. The Dursley's didn't let Harry practice his magic at all, so he was a little rusty in that particular department of talent. But they had agreed to build a wall around their yard, and let Harry practice Quidditch. But Harry had told them this wasn't very much help, as he needed good grades in his classes to stay on the Quidditch team. But they didn't listen, and only let Harry work on his Care of Magical Creatures homework. "Harry, come on!" yelled Ron, awakening Harry from his memories. "Coming!" Yelled Harry, running down the winding, creaky stairs of the Burrow. Harry reached the bottom of the stairs. All of a sudden, everyone was surrounding him. "Wow Harry! Why didn't you tell us?!?'' "Congratulations Harry! We need someone like you to lead us!" Marie kissed him. "What are all of you talking about?" said Harry, puzzled at the sudden attention. "Harry, you made Quidditch captain for Gryffindor!" said Ron excitedly. "I-I did?" said Harry. "Yes! Isn't it wonderful dear?" said Mrs. Weasley. "Wow! Yes, it is Mrs. Weasly! When did this message get here?" asked Harry. "This morning!" said Fred. CRASH! Everyone whipped around. Errol had crashed into the window. "Ooooo! Another letter!" said Marie excitedly. Ron was scanning the paper, his eyes widening. "Mum-Mum, I'm the new keeper!" said Ron excitedly. "Oh great! Now we get to see more of you!" moaned George. "Oh shut up George!" said Ron.
"D'you want to go on a walk?" asked Marie. "Sure." Said Harry. "Ron, Marie and I are going to be late for dinner, so start without us, okay?" called Harry. "All right!" said Ron. "Did you want to tell me something?" asked Harry. "Um.yes. You know how I'm American and you're British?" said Marie. "Yeah. Why?" said Harry. "Well, my mom didn't really want me to date a non-American guy when I got older and-" Said Marie. Harry noticed that Marie wasn't looking him straight in the eye when she was talking to him. "And you want to break up with me. Right?" said Harry, sounding a bit offended. "No! I love you Harry. I'd never break up with you!" said Marie. "Then what is it?" said Harry. "I just thought that you'd want to know that. That's all." Said Marie. "Well, I don't really care. I mean, we're already a couple, and your mum doesn't even know I exist. Or maybe she does." Said Harry, his voice trailing off as he began to think. "Harry, that's not all." Said Marie nervously. "Then tell me the rest! You're making me really nervous!" said Harry. "Well, my mom is You-Know-Who's sister."
"Harry, you have to wake up! We're going to be late for breakfast! And Marie is going to be there!" said Ron. "What? Why are you at my house Ron? Why aren't you at the Burrow?" said Harry groggily.
