Kim got up and started rummaging through her locker.
"Kim, I think we need to talk," Jimmy said.
"Not now, Jimmy," she replied. She found what she was looking for and went
back downstairs, away from the man that had confused her so much.
"Kim, we got a call," Bobby said quietly.
Kim and Bobby drove in silence, neither of them wanted to talk about what had happened. "Kim, we've got to talk," Bobby said. "What about?" she asked back. "You know what about.Kimmy, he hurt you," Bobby said, almost in a whisper. "He's the father of my son, Bobby." "I don't want to see him hurt you again, Kim. I love you too much." "Oh, Bobby. I don't want this to turn into a fight between you two."
Bobby walked into the firehouse, trying not to laugh at Carlos. His 'I'm revising' spiel had clearly failed because he was asleep with his head on his book. Suddenly he was thrown against the wall. "Keep away from Kim," Jimmy said. "Jimmy, get off me," Bobby replied," Kim's a big girl; she can make up her own mind." "Just keep your nose out of our business." "I'll do what I want," Bobby replied, a smirk on his face.
"Daddy!" Joey yelled and ran towards his father. Jimmy picked him up and hugged him. "Joey! You're supposed to be in bed!" Kim said. She took her son by the hand and put him to bed. She walked back into the living room. "I had a bit of a run-in with Bobby today," Jimmy said from the kitchen as Kim settled on the sofa. "Oh God, Jimmy. What did you do?" Kim asked. She knew Jimmy too well. "I told him that I loved you, and I'm not about to hurt you again," he replied. He took her face with his hand and kissed her softly. "Remind me to talk to Bobby tomorrow," Kim said, before Jimmy kissed her again, and she lost the trail of thought she'd been on all day.
