Prologue:

A shadow stands upon the dark cliff gazing out at the see. About him every thing is silent. Most likely because there wasn't a single living organism within a hundred miles of him. Even bacteria had learned not to come anywhere close to him. With good reason too; he was the sole cause of the extinction of life on the planet. Nothing big enough to see had escaped his wrath. Frowning he quelled the twinge in his chest. Why wouldn't that damn soul be used to it by now. Even though it was its body he was using twenty years of death should have been enough for it to get over its queasiness.

Deep underground thousands of miles away the last three sentient beings left to oppose Him are meeting for the final time. Jon Canmore, the last human, was the first to arrive in the dark room lit by a single overhead light. Grumbling as his mechanical arm whined again, Jon took his seat at the beaten card table in the center of the room. The next to arrive was Oberon, the last fay. Limping heavily on his cane he had to use since his last meeting with Him Oberon hobbled to the seat to Jon's right. Sighing as he gingerly set himself down, Oberon simply nodded in greeting. The last to arrive was Demona. By far the best of the three her immortality spell had let her escape unscathed. Hence it was her that had given her body to the bomb so that the spell would be complete. Now as she sat down for the last time she smiled. Pulling out a bottle from her bag she addressed the men.

"Well the end has come. Who wants to go sober?" she asked while putting the bottle of vodka down on the table top. Grinning both the former Hunter and Lord of the Fay held out glasses.

"To the end then." Toasted Oberon.

"Aye, to the end" affirmed Jon.

"To the end!" Demona shouted. "And may his soul be erased!" She then proceeded to drink the to men under the table.

He was drawn out of his musings by a growing whine. Rising quickly into the night sky he was awestruck by an enormous energy coming from the east. Growing into the night sky was a massive glow. All he could do was scream his rage as the energy converted the planets atoms into pure energy in the largest explosion since the big bang.
