Chapter 2
It was a cold morning that day. The birds where singing as loud as they could and the trees blew solemnly in the wind. Van woke up to see that the other side of the bed was empty e.g Hitomi had got up already. Van felt upset as he thought about the battle. It wasn't the first time that Hitomi had been right about things like this and van was now worried. Van wiped the sleep from his eyes and put his shirt on. "your still gonna go aren't you?" asked Hitomi. "I have to go no matter what you say" Van replied sharply. Tears trickled down Hitomi's eyes. She walked on to the balcony and looked at the cloudy morning sky and said to herself oh Hitomi ,what have you got yourself into . I'm not sure if I should tell Van the truth of what I really saw... The next day Van equipped his trusty sword from its old and rusty box on the shelf. He went down to the Esclaflowne and woke his pet beast . "Come on my friend its time to kick some ass" , Van got on to his ferocious ,but well behaved dragon and got ready for the great battle. "Ok now" he paused for a while. "lets get those sons of a bitch's". Suddenly the hundreds of people cheered and the noise was incredible. Van saw Hitomi and he got off the dragon and ran towards his love, and they kissed as all the other machines flew over them . "Van I want you to have something". Hitomi gave Van half of a golden necklace and said, "I will always cherish this and I will wear it where ever I go". From that Van kissed Hitomi's hand then got on to his dragon and set off to the great battle of the three worlds , The earth ,The moon and the third dimension. But before Van could leave Hitomi screamed at him "Van I love you!!" "I know" Van replied, "you showed me last night". And with that Van left leaving a tear stricken Hitomi behind, gazing up at him following his movements as he flew below the stars..
