Family Feud
Disclaimer: I made up the characters of Robotnik's son and wife, and (of course) the scenario, but little else.
Author's note: This is my fifth story. There's not really much else to say, so I'll leave it at that.
Remember when reviewing: Be honest, but don't flame.
Chapter 1: Like mother, like son
"Whoa..." said Sonic as he glanced at Robotnik's newest contraption. "Amy, I think we're in trouble." "But Sonic," replied Amy, "you've always saved me when I was confronted by danger."
"True," agreed Sonic. "But this thing looks difficult to beat. I wish it could be distracted." "I wouldn't know how," said Amy. "It seems to fix its gaze on you at all times."
"But..." Sonic started to say. His sentence was interrupted by a female voice saying "Ivo, is that you?" Robotnik's contraption turned to face the voice.
Robotnik climbed out of the robot and walked over to a woman standing not too far away. Next to her was a small boy. "About time we found you, Mr. Robotnik," the woman said.
The woman was Robotnik's wife. The boy was their son, Billy. "It's been two years since you left us 'to get some milk.' We've been searching for you ever since."
"When we read in the newspaper about how your plans were foiled by Sonic the hedgehog and his friends," Ms. Robotnik continued, "we knew where to look. Now come with us right now."
"But honey," Dr. Robotnik replied, "that pest of a hedgehog won't let me leave the area. He always spoils everything for me." As if to prove the point, Sonic rushed to the robot and turned it to scrap metal.
"Okay, I'll give you that. Now I'll make you a deal. If you promise to return to us after Sonic and friends are gone, we promise to help you 'gone' them. Is it a deal?"
Robotnik reluctantly agreed. "I can take you to my secret base in the mountains. The hedgehog hasn't found it yet. We can plan the downfall of the hedgehog there."
Several hours later, Sonic and Amy were resting on a park bench. Everything was peaceful. Unfortunately, it didn't stay that way for long.
Suddenly, the ground shook and a giant robot was visible over the horizon. Inside the robot, Dr. R was in the pilot seat, Ms. R was copilot, and Billy was the lookout.
"Sonic and Amy spotted at coordinates 4623-5738," Billy said. "Ten-four," Ms. Robotnik replied. "No, it's 4623-5738, not 10-4," Dr. R replied. "Oh. Right. Target locked."
Slowly Sonic turned. "Whoa," Sonic said. "Surely Dr. Robotnik couldn't have come up with that on his own." "Yea, he must be working with someone," Amy said. "And my name is Amy, not Shirley."
"Well, never mind that now," Sonic said. "We have a problem. Say, I wonder who he would be working with. Someone with the same genius as Dr. Robotnik..."
"Allow me to save you the trouble," Dr. R's voice came over the loudspeaker. "I've recently had a little family reunion with my wife and son. They're both helping me."
"Oh my goodness!" Sonic said. "THREE Robotniks? I think I'm going to faint..." And that's just what he did. Amy stood in disbelief for a few seconds, then fled for her life as the robot blew the bench to toothpicks.
Quickly Amy found Tails and Knuckles and explained the whole situation to them. She finished with "I know that there's no one like family, but this is too much!"
There was no time to waste, but I haven't come up with the rest yet. Give me some time and some reviews, and I'll deliver Chapter 2 later.
P.S. Yes, I put in paragraphs. If you don't see any, it's because they weren't displayed properly.
