"Numair? Numair! Get yourself over here!" Daine's muffled cries startled Numair out of his workroom. With a sigh he left to go find Daine. He found her in a laundry basket with a sock over her nose and mouth. "A multicolored something! It came here and blinded me with a flashlight!"

"What? What's a flashlight?" Numair was puzzled. He forgot about Daine and the sock. He sat down and thought. And thought. And thought. But he just could not figure out what a flashlight was. Suddenly, from behind him he heard a crash.

"Howdy! Whatcha eatin' under there?" Numair jumped up and faced a strangely dressed girl wearing aerobics clothes and several hundred multicolored bandanas. Numair stared. Daine would have stared too, if she did not have a sock over her face.

"Under where?" Numair did not like people to think of him as stupid. And this girl probably though he was stupid, the way she was looking at him.

"Haw! You're eatin' underwear, get it? Get it?" She started laughing insanely. She spotted Daine, and turned to Numair. "You bastard! Lookit whatcha did to this po' girl. Tried ta suffocate her, ya did. Uh huh. Tried ta suffocate her, ya did." She walked over to the laundry basket and extracted Daine from it. "I'm Janine, ya know," she said to no one in particular.

'What's underwear?" Numair wanted to know.

"Never mind," Janine sighed. "Come on, ya two. I'm gonna take ya to the real world." There was another flash of blinding white light and Numair felt as if he were spinning forward very fast. And then everything was dark.

Numair awoke to the sound of Janine cursing. His head felt as if it were made out of lead. His vision was blurry, and it was all he could do to raise his head off the pillow to see where he was. Janine was in the far corner wrestling with a multicolored lump. Numair realized, upon closer examination, that that lump was Daine. "Janine?" he asked wearily.

"Haw! The murdrer's awake. Welcome ta Peacewurld, where everythin's peaceful. Uh huh. Where everythin's peaceful." Numair yawned.

"What are you doing to Daine?"

"Dunno. Tryin' ta get this stoopid sock off her head." Numair frowned.

"Why did she have the sock on her head anyway?" Janine smirked.

"Cuz I put it there. It's the only way I can transport people from Wurld to Wurld. I knows yur not a murdrer, but it's fun ta joke with ya. Shalls we go outside? It's ta Peace Fest'val taday. What fun. Oooh, yes, what fuuuuuuuuun." Janine flew backward as the sock over Daine's face came off with a pop. The sock promptly disappeared, leaving a distraught Janine sitting on her rump in the middle of the floor. "Comes, ya two, let's go outside." Numair and Daine silently stood up and followed Janine out into the multicolored world.

A/N For those of you who are confused…

"Wurlds," as I have so called them, are like realms. "Peacewurld" is one Wurld, while "Horsewurld" is a different one, and so on.

Numair did not have to be transported with a sock over his head because he was in the same room as Daine at the time of the transportation. Only one person in each room has to wear the sock.

Who is Janine, exactly? You'll just have to wait and see, won't you?

Is this story pointless? Yes. Did you really have to ask?

Will this story have a plot? Eventually, yes.
