To Ease Your Pain

The Eye looks ever upon us
The weight growing heavier and heavier
Dragging you, bending you toward the ground
Middle-Earth Bound.

I would give anything
Do anything
To relieve the burden that smothers
Your mind, your heart, your soul
That blackens your goodness, you kindness
Corrupting it.

But you can't part with your ring of pain
So much you are already in it's power
Twisted and tied to it.

When will it stop?
When will my heart stop bleeding for you?
Never.

Dark whispers in my ear
Mind reeling, heart sinking
I would give my life to spare your own.
