"I hate snow." Johnny said to himself, watching it collect on the
windowsill.
The snow hadn't always been so bad. When he was 6, he remembered back in
those days, it wasn't like he ever had any friends any way; he always used
to play in the snow with his dad. Those were probably the best times in his
life. Him and his dad would make snowmen and have snowball fights, and the
day would end with him watching his father shovel snow.
"Daddy, why doesn't the snow stick around forever?"
"Because nothing lasts forever Nny, when the snow melts the, the ground becomes wet and the plants grow big and strong in the spring. And I want you to be big and strong to and when I melt like to snow I want you to grow big and strong like that tree, can you promise me that Johnny?"
"I promise, but daddy why?"
"Because I love you, that's why!" he said tossing Johnny's tiny body playfully into the snow
He more nny thought, the more painful it became, he looked at his life, he was crazy, he was killing people, he was sad, unhappy, his life was going no where. Was this the person his parents wanted him to be? No. He looked down at the gun in his hand
"I'm sorry daddy I'm sorry I didn't grow up to be a big strong happy person you dreamed of. I tried daddy, I tried but I cant. Daddy, can you please forgive me?"
