"Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow."
"Are you all right, Willow?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm perfectly fine, Sam. I'm just saying 'ow' repeatedly because I think it's so much fun."
"Well, you're in a lovely mood." Sam commented dryly.
Willow glared up at him. "You're the one who suggested the freaking' trip to the zoo. The least you could do was feel sorry."
"Hey, I thought the zoo was fun. You're the one who wanted a romantic outing. Besides you're a California girl. I assumed you could handle a little sun."
"I'm a pale California girl, Sam. And I didn't know we'd be spending the day outside or I would have worn sunscreen."
Sam raised an eyebrow. He lay on the bed they shared, propping his head up on his arm, "Are you actually going to be mad at me for planning a surprise romantic getaway?"
Willow sighed. He was right of course. It had been a wonderful surprise, really it had. They had just finished polishing up a rather important speech. Sam turned to her and told her that they wouldn't be going back to his apartment that night. He had already packed an overnight bag for her, and the two had driven to a beautiful hotel. They had spent the next day just relaxing and having fun. And touring the zoo of course. Which had caused the current subject of Willow's ire.
"I'm not angry with you, Sam. The trip was wonderful. It really was." She walked over to the bed and pulled him to her, planting a kiss on his lips. "I'm just in quite a bit of pain. But it's worth it, the hotel was great, the zoo was great. You are great." She kissed him again, deeper this time, exploring his mouth with her tongue.
"Mmmmm." Sam sighed when they pulled apart. "I should definitely do things like that more often then."
"Just pack sunscreen next time."
"Are you really in a lot of pain?" Sam asked, concerned.
Willow nodded. "Mostly my shoulders, but my face is pretty bad too. I guess that's pretty evident." It was too; her face was a rather bright shade of red.
"I have an idea." Sam suddenly stood up and grabbed Willow's hand. He led her into the bathroom.
"Sam, what are you doing?" Willow asked, giggling a little.
"Shh...." Sam whispered. He pulled her toward him, and slowly unbuttoned her shirt and very gently, eased it off her shoulders, dropping it on the floor. He kissed her gently again and reached down, untying the strings on her skirt. She groaned softly as she stepped out of the skirt and kicked it too the side. Her underwear soon followed.
Sam pushed back for a moment, and just looked at her, drinking in her beauty. He then turned and walked to the shower, turning the water on, adjusting it until it was the perfect temperature. "A nice cool shower, the perfect, if temporary, solution to your sunburn."
Willow smiled at him. She really had found the perfect man. She stepped toward him and kissed him again. "You know what would make it an even more perfect solution?" she asked suggestively.
"What's that?"
"If you would join me,Ó she murmured softly in his ear.
"I think that could be arranged." Sam replied.
"Great." Willow smiled again. "Now let's get you out of those clothes."
