"You don't understand me Pharaoh! Nobody will ever understand me!" cried Amane as she ran out the door. The words kept flashing through her head. the Pharaoh had said
'Amane, what happened to the days when you were happy?'. it kept echoing on and on. The words wouldn't leave her mind.
It was raining hard as Amane walked down the lonely streets of Domino City.
"Tuh, days when I was happy.I'm happy now. Look at me. I am one of the happiest dead people in the world." She then looked down into a puddle and saw herself. She had been crying when she hadn't even known. She then thought ' Look at yourself.you don't look happy. So? Are you? But then again. were you ever? She then felt embracing arms go around her waist. It was him, the Pharaoh, Yami. The previous words and pictures of the last few hours played with her mind again. She tried not to seem like it was effecting her, but it was.
Amane soon felt one of Yami's arms move up towards her head and he pulled the hair back from her ears.
"Amane, it's ok. I'm here for you, I'm right here.' He whispered 'Come home Amane, come home to where you belong."
She tried to keep it in, but she couldn't any longer. She wanted to just turn around and scream ' I don't belong here! I belong in Egypt. I have no life to fulfill any longer so why am I here?!' but instead, she cried. She didn't want him to see her like this. Amane let nobody see her cry, not even herself. But there was something about him. She, Amane was most feared of all ancient Egyptian criminals, and, here she was, in love with her enemy. ' He's trying to tame me.' She thought. 'he is trying to make me give in to my feelings. Nobody can do that to me.' She then cried out as if she was in great pain, Yami turned her head face towards his and looked at her.
"Amane, look at me. Its going to be all right." He pulled her close , and she cried. She fell to her knees, and cried in the rain. Yami stayed with her the whole time, holding her head at his chest, as it slowly moved down into his lap. Then, hours later, all was quiet, and the Egyptian Tomb Robber, fell asleep.
