The Mysterious Girl
Chapter 1: Dawns encounter
*I cant believe Buffy wouldn't let me patrol with her* dawn thought to herself as she walked down Revello drive towards the park. * I mean just last week when willow almost ended the world Buffy said any night I wanted I could patrol with her! Hump! She can be a real pain in the butt sometimes. Oh well maybe Janice will have some news to share with me too bad she lives on the other side of the park. I can't believe I am walking through the park in Sunnydale after sundown. I gotta be crazy. Wait no I am not I wanna prove I can handle my-* dawns thoughts were cut off when a vampire jumped out of the bushes and pinned her down. *-Self, oh my god I am gonna die now! Dang where's a stake when u need it. * " Hey are you ok? I mean that vamp jumped you hard." A strange voice asked. "I uh well I. I guess I'm ok I mean no blood spillage." Dawn replied looking over the girl that just saved her life while brushing off the newly made dirt that now covered her clothes. She was average height a few inches taller than Buffy. She had shoulder length layered dirty blond hair, and it looked totally natural, unlike some of the people she hung around like Buffy, Willow, Spike, and Tara. She was well built had muscles not too much though and the nicest shade of green eyes she'd ever seen. "The names Amanda. I am kinda new in town." The girl replied. "Oh I am Dawn nice to meet you. Well I gotta get to a friends and thanks again with the vamp. I guess I was a little unprepared." Dawn replied with a soft smile. "Its no biggie. lets just say if you could be so as to return the favor some day then we are equal." " Yeah ok or I could by you something cool from the Magic Box. I know some people that work there. If your into the smelly candles and oils." "Sure maybe we will see." "I guess I'll see you around town then." "Ok, I guess you will." and with that the girl sprinted off into the distance as swiftly as she appeared. *Weird. * Dawn thought as she continued out of the park to Janice's house.
