I had no choice but to hear you
You stated your case time and again
I thought about it
You treat me like I'm a princess
I'm not used to liking that
You ask how my day was
Lana walked up the stairs to The Loft. She knew Clark would be up there. Still dressed fancy from Lex and Helen's wedding rehearsal dinner. She was meaning to talk to Clark at the party but he had left suddenly.
"Hey"
Lana looked to see Clark sitting down. She smiled and they began to talk.
"I love your speech," She said to him
"Yeah, well, I had a lot of inspiration for it"
He is talking about me, Lana thought, And the thing is, everything he said in that speech was about us. I'm scared that I'm falling hard, I'm scared of what will happen when Chloe finds out. I'm just... scared. Maybe he is too.
You've already won me over in spite of me
Don't be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don't be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn't help it
It's all your fault
Your love is thick and it swallowed me whole
You're so much braver than I gave you credit for
That's not lip service
She apologized for being so distance this past three days, then paused "But.. I'm scared," She said at last
He stared at her with his beautiful blue eyes "So am I"
They stood in silence for a moment. He got up and walked to her. They both stood staring into each other's eyes. Both feared and looked forward to what would happen next. He kissed her and she kissed back. She ran her fingers through his hair. Nothing ever felt more right.
You are the bearer of unconditional things
You held your breath and the door for me
Thanks for your patience
You're the best listener that I've ever met
You're my best friend
Best friend with benefits
What took me so long
"Oh wow" Lana looked at her watch "I better leave, Mr. Sullivan is probably worried"
"Let me walk you" He said
She shook her head "You look tired, you should stay here.. I'll be fine"
Clark nodded "Well at least let me walk you to the door"
She smiled. She slipped her hand into his. They walked hand in hand down the steps. She stopped him and they both stood together. She brushed her hand across his face and she smiled. There was no need for words right now. She held his hand, the two hands spreading apart as she walked towards the door. She looked over his shoulder, gave him one last smile and walked home. This night was so amazing for Lana; she finally became aware of what was right. Her feelings for Clark
I've never felt this healthy before
I've never wanted something rational
I am aware now
I am aware now
