The Legacy Of A Warrior Princess

"WARRIOR PRINCESS," they scream my name.
Hoofbeats and heartbeats, a syncronicity of pain.
The horrors of Tartarus come alive in the night
as I crush every village without any fight.

A countryside of flames alight at my heel.
The sound of my battlecry causing innocents to reel.
Their anger and fear, offset by blood,
fall flat like my victims, face first in the mud.

Warlords, commoners, creatures, and kings,
through death and terror and the most unspeakable of things
I ensure all my efforts ne'er in vain are they made
as all men are equal to the wrath of my blade.

Paying tribute to Ares during battle's peak height,
I gain his approval with a sneer of delight.
Greater glory my ideal I served under his rule,
'Til the day I realized ... I was played for a fool.

Now repentant and repulsed since I've seen the light,
all the wrongs that I've done, I try to make right.
This road is not merciful that I've chosen to ride,
but it's made a lot easier with a best friend at my side.

And someday I'll be gone from this land I crossed over
with tears and with fears and good men put to clover,
But till then I'll fight for the good of mankind,
All the mad gods and tyrants I seek out to find.

To my last breath, all evil to Hades I'll send,
a force to be reckoned with -- steadfast till the end.
